January 2012 to January 2014

Rockland County's 2012 Budget eliminated the Department of Tourism and

created the Office of Tourism & Local Development; currently operating as

one-person office and solely on "I Love New York" grant from Empire State

Development.

. Increased tourism revenue in Rockland County by 8.4-percent, $31

million, from 2011 to 2012. Visitor spending increased in Rockland

County by more than 25-percent, or $81 million in four years,

resulting in Rockland leading the Hudson Valley Region in 2012 in

visitor spending growth*.

. Created new logo, slogan and developed commercial/electronic

advertising campaigns.

. Designed and wrote content for new Rockland County Travel &

Entertainment Guide.

. Increased weekly email blast outreach to more than 43,000 addresses

and unique visits to website by 30-percent.

. Collaborated with several film studios and the New York State

Governor's Office of Motion Picture and Television Development to

establish Rockland County as an accessible and affordable filming

destination within the "Thirty-Mile Zone" outside of Manhattan and

substantially increased filming projects and revenue in the county.

Established "Rockland Studios," the county's first modular studio

facility, in West Nyack in October 2013.

. Worked successfully with town and village leaders to expand existing

events and create new signature events to increase tourism traffic and

revenue.

. Developed and hosted popular weekly radio show, "Talk Tourism,"

featuring celebrity guests.

. Responsible for email blast creation and website maintenance.

Director of Tourism - August 2010 to December 2011

Led development, marketing, promotion and administration of Rockland County

Tourism Department and associated programs with a three-person staff and an

annual budget of $527,000 (2010).

. Increased tourism revenue in Rockland County by 15-percent from 2010

. Designed and launched new website www.rocktourism.com with an average

of 4,000 unique visits per month.

. Developed department's first regional television commercial and

its events and attractions, increasing list to over 40,000 email

addresses including locations across the Hudson Valley region, New

Jersey, Manhattan, Long Island.

Acted as Senior Advisor to the County Executive on all media and public

relations matters for County of Rockland and provided advice and counsel on

press policies and positions.

. Responsible for all media relations, including press conferences,

County Executive and all personnel in Rockland County government,

including department commissioners and directors and staff.

. Wrote all speeches, including annual State of the County address.

. Served as liaison to the Rockland County Department of Tourism,

overseeing operation of a three-person department on all
