WORK HISTORY:

Prima Electro-Industrial Laser Manufacturer (5/2001 to 10/2013)

Senior Design Engineer responsible for designing all current product offerings including

CO2, YAG, and Fiber lasers. Day to day responsibilities included managing vendors to meet

goals, presentations (stage gates) to management teams to ensure designs meet company

goals. Lead "Design Review" and "ECO" programs to meet our ISO9001 requirements..

Responsible for all mechanical designs utilizing Engineering skills that include stress analysis,

beam deflection, thermal growth, FEA, heat transfer, frame stability, kinematic mount design,

etc. Multitasking is a must to meet the needs of all customers internal and external.

United Plastics Group– Medical/Custom Injection Molder (1997 to 2001)

Manufacturing Engineering Manager -Managed a department of three engineers and six

maintenance employees. Responsible for all engineering success for three injection molding

facilities (MA, FL, KY). Responsible for quoting all new business applications involving, labor

estimates, automation, and new equipment requirements. Sourced and managed delivery

and installation of all new equipment. Designed and built several automatic and semi-

automatic work-cells to reduce labor content. Designed inspection stations using vision

systems. Prepared ROI’s to justify automation and payback. Designed all requirements and

plant layout for a new molding facility in Chicopee. Implemented QS9000 responsible for

APQP, FMEA, and PPAP. Team building and project management on a daily basis.

Conair-Automation and Plastic Granulation Company (1985 to 1997)

Engineering Manager-(1991 promoted to manager) Managed a department of fifteen

Engineers in the fast paced concept to ship date environment of the Automation division of a

large auxiliary equipment supplier for the plastics industry. Created and organized project

development teams for all product development. Responsible for success of all Engineered

projects and products for the company. Designed and detailed many new products. Worked

with vendors and coordinated with other department heads on new product lines. Traveled to

Europe and Japan as needed to coordinate with our foreign partners.

Design Engineer- (1985 to 1991) Responsible for designing automatic parts handling

equipment to remove, palletize, trim, and insert parts made through injection molding

processes. Managed projects from start to completion for large companies such as Chrysler,

Ford, Hoover and Whirlpool. Designed and detailed entire projects to fit customer

requirements. Coordinated efforts of Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Field Service

departments to meet customer expectations. Designed and detailed several lines of standard

and specialized linear and rotary multi axis robots for the company.

Senior Quotation Engineer- (1987-1988) Responsible for conceptualizing all non-standard

automation processes to fit customer applications. Responsible for layouts, and costing of

specialized equipment. Involved 20% travel to meet with customers to review concepts and

approaches. Wrote computer programs for sizing robot applications for sales team.
