Good Day,
My name is Steve Wilkerson and I am the Senior Facilities Engineer for the US Army
Chemical Weapons Destruction Site in Pueblo, Colorado. I have over 25 years of experience
i n Facilities Engineering and 15 years as a Facilities Manager, and 9 as a corporate
manager for a major electronics manufacturer with facilities across the United States and
Canada. I appreciate the opportunity to present myself to you and be considered for the
Facilities Manager position.
I have been with URS Engineering for several years now, working as the Senior Facilities
E ngineer for the Systemization, Startup and Operations of the 80 acre, 20 facility complex.
I have sincerely enjoyed my experience at Pueblo, although as a Lakeland Florida native, I
need to make a t ransition back to Florida to better support my aging mother.
I am a member of IFMA (International Facility Managers Association) and currently
working on the Facility Manager Certification which I can commit to obtaining within the
next 4-6 months. My last few years spent with URS has enabled me to gain a vast amount
of experience in many types of facility operations, including RCRA and Biological Labs,
Medical Facilities, Warehousing, U tilit ies, Processing, Office complexes and more.
Obviously, assistance in relocation would mean a great deal in helping me make this
decision, as well as a competitive salary, but my ultimate desire and need is for my wife and
I to return home and I feel this opportunity would be a perfect fit for both of us.
In closing, I have attached a letter of reference and my resume for your review and
consideration. Please consider my application and feel free to contact me at your
convenience, I am ready to do whatever it takes, and to assure and convince you that hir ing
me is the r ight decision.
Sincerely,
Steve Wilkerson
