12 1. Stellar Software Network Inc., Dallas (Oct 08-Apr 09) – Oracle DBA

Responsible for solving critical issues of client’s PLM production Oracle databases

Worked as Oracle DBA with a client based in Boston, MA. I was involved in investigating the oracle database

and identifying the bottlenecks causing the performance issues. Apart from troubleshooting the database and

application problems, I was required to provide solution with timeline/effort estimates for optimal database

performance. Finally, the project involved working closely with other members of IT to ensure successful

application and database management.

13 2. Cambridge Solutions, Bangalore (July 07-Nov 07) - Oracle DBA

Responsible for successful migration of entire data of client’s legacy system to a real-time oracle database

This Project was to transfer all the legacy data of the client to the new system. The legacy system’s data was

in .csv, .txt, .mdb, .xls and it was migrated to Oracle 10g after a rigorous conversion, formatting and cleansing.

The legacy system’s database was completely un-normalized; however the target database was highly

normalized.

Responsible for design, implementation, maintenance, support, and enhancement of highly sophisticated

database systems and technologies in a timely manner

As a database specialist, I was involved in designing, installing, configuring, supporting and upgrading

extremely large server-based application systems (10,000+ users with many TB of storage). I was also involved

in monitoring the operations of production systems using latest oracle technology, while working closely with

the development and release management teams.

Responsible for remote database management support for Oracle databases used in the production environment

from the offshore facility

As a DBA my job consisted of remote database administration covering Incident Management, Problem

Management, installation, upgrades, configuration, backup, recovery, security, performance analysis and

capacity planning in a High Availability environment.
