improvement effort within the Policy Pro project that is currently one of the top 5 initiatives of the

corporation. Programmer responsible for formatting and issuance of external Progressive

communications within the Document Management Group (DMG). External communications are

formatted by server based RP imaging software. Issuance rules are maintained by the proprietary

web based PMM system. XSL modifications are used to pass data between external groups and

DMG. Created Redline requirement documents used by DMG developers to create all external

existing system allows probation officers to manage offender casework. It has been

developed with the intent of reducing duplication, increasing efficiency, reducing time

needed for paperwork and, therefore, improving an officer’s effectiveness.

The analysis deliverables included documents such as data flow diagrams, entity

relationship diagrams, process specifications data dictionary and specification of

requirements.

The information was gathered from extensive client interviewing and prior existing system

documentation.

system. The system, which is written in COBOL/CICS, Assembler and SCLM language, is the

primary producer of over 9,000 letters which are used by all company departments to

communicate internally and externally.

Participated in the Y2K conversions of the Letterwriter system, insuring that all dates within the

system are year 2000 compliant.
