Field Service Engineer. Responsible for the installation, commissioning,
repair, and start-up of various types of Uninterruptible Power Supplies
(UPS) systems and other related equipment in the data center, telecom
and other computer related sites. This involved extensive travel and
quick familiarization with new systems, configurations, and equipment.
I am certified on their Silcon type units and have done extensive service
assists, PM’s and UM’s on their new ISX brand of UPS’s.

Field Service Engineer. Responsible for testing, calibration, and commissioning of
Westinghouse, General Electric,and various other manufactured voltage
regulators and especially the new ECS-2100 Cutler-Hammer regulators.
This involves extensive travel, customer interaction, and custom
integration of digitally controlled equipment with a great deal of software
integration, along with the calibration and testing of older analog
systems. Commissioning of new Combustion Turbines with standardized
ECS-2100 installations. Training new employees and building training
systems at our New Kensington Facility. Retrofits of newer systems into
existing plants, and then commissioning.
10/99 – 08-01 ABB Automation, ETSI, Natrona Heights, PA 15652
Field Service Engineer. Responsible for the retrofit of advanced DCS
system upgrades to Combustion Turbines throughout the country. These
units included GE Frame 5 and 7, plus HRSTG systems, Westinghouse
251, and Pratt and Whitney. The systems were fitted with Bailey INFI 90
systems and new Pacific Scientific valve controllers, along with other
equipment upgrades and modifications, including hydraulic replacement
for pneumatic controls. I was involved in replacements of 23 systems in a
2 year period. I was Lead Engineer for a 9 unit retrofit at the Thetford
site in Clio, Michigan.
Integration of new DCS configurations into the existing SCADA systems
that utilized ETAP or EDSA software for power analysis.

Field Service Engineer. Responsible for electrical switchgear, circuit
breakers, bus systems, maintenance and emergency repair for
numerous customers and utilities. Team leader for a project for the
Northeast region portion of a multiple site survey project, nationwide.
These surveys were for MCI/Worldcom. I personally directed, scheduled,
planned, visited and wrote final reports for the entire project. The teams
were comprised of ABB, Jansen Engineering, and J-TEC personnel, from
many locations across the country.
Utilization of SKM software for short circuit analysis at several steel plant
upgrades, and new utility feeds to existing systems.
