EXPERIENCE
A E R O S PA C E A N D D E F E N S E T E A M L E A D H A A S G R O U P I N T E R N AT I O N A L 2000-2013
Started as data entry clerk for premier global chemical management services company. Immediately
recognized for solid business acumen and ability to assimilate new processes effortlessly; promoted
quickly through the ranks to assistant buyer, buyer, sourcing project manager, senior buyer, team lead.
Developed vendor management techniques that created partners instead of adversaries and measurably
improved on time delivery. Assigned project management to pilot new Oracle based purchasing platform;
feedback from that effort resulted in an elegant purchasing solution that would ultimately transmit
purchase orders to suppliers via internet.
Moved to startup account Seagate Technology; program was in disarray and severely behind in savings
projection for the calendar year. With little more than six moths remaining, turned the account around
meeting plan, saving Seagate $400k for the year. Received first Haas Employee of the Year award for this
performance.
Assigned another startup account, UTC Hamilton Sundstrand. Instrumental in resolving hundreds of
specification issues resulting in no stalled orders, non-conforming materials were minimized, and no
production shutdowns. This exercise also exposed an opportunity for 30% overnight savings in pre-
mixed frozen adhesives, implemented immediately.
Promoted to aerospace and defense team lead managing twelve reports across multiple aerospace
customers. Supervised all composites purchases for Raytheon Missile Systems. Maintained client
quality standards and JIT delivery metrics through effective vendor management.
RECENT ACCOMPLISHMENT
Successfully negotiated difficult composites agreement for orphan product its manufacturer declared
obsolete but essential to Raytheon Missile Systems. Raytheon is now assured flow of this exotic product
through 2014.
