Tuxedo Application Server, Configuration Manager, Weblogic, Cobol
and creating Crystal Reports for back-end report processing.
- Worked on Financial Management and Accounting, CRM, Human Capital
Management (HCM) and Human Resource Management (HRMS). Used
SQL*TRACE to fix bottle necks and improve on-line queries.
- Worked with Service Automation and Campus Solutions. Utilized
Application Designer and created PeopleCode and streamlined Cobol
applications. Verified and performed fixes relating to maintaining
Oracle and PeopleSoft data dictionaries. Experienced with

- -Supported a broad range of SAP application modules that includes:
Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Product LifeCycle ERP, Supply

Sap Service and Asset Management. In addition, utilized Duet to
interface MS Office with SAP data to help with financial reporting,
budget variances and analysis of aging reports for A/R and A/P.

Operations for improving assembly line management for manufacturer.
Documented functional requirements, business processes and
organizational structure to perform GAP analysis for new install.
SYBASE ASE / MS SQL SERVER, Administrator
- In charge of 5 Unix Sun machines and Sybase 15 servers. With Sybase
IQ, setup tables to be used as columns rather than rows to optimize
searching and increase performance for data warehouse.
- Handled day-to-day activities of maintaining servers, performing dump
backups, emptying logs, created databases, storage devices and stored
procedures, as well as bcp'd tables and ftp'd data across servers.
Created numerous shell scripts in sh, csh and ksh. Set up cron jobs
for scheduling and created sophisticated log routines to verify
production jobs ran correctly.
- Sybase IQ and Fast BCP to create tables without logging for data
warehouse. Skills utilized included physical database design,
performance database tuning, DBA/SA instruction, DBA/SA procedures,
implementation, and database recovery and repair. Created DDL, ran
utilities and monitored plans to increase performance and tune
multiple databases. Helped programmers on performance of PowerBuilder
applications.
ORACLE, Administrator
- Managed 20 Oracle Servers version 11g running PeopleSoft Financials
and HR. Scheduled backups and other scripts to maintain PeopleSoft
SQR's. Supported programmers as they were adding enhancements to HR
programs. Monitored environment and tuned large queries to reduce I/O
and decrease long running jobs. Worked with support personnel and
performed periodic maintenance to databases. Interfaced with
programmers on de-normalization techniques to speed queries. Set up
domains and trust relationships so users can access data across
network with permissions kept consistent. Relationships were
documented in enterprise model using SQL*Designer to diagram
referential integrity. Existing database schema was reverse
engineered.
- Upgraded Oracle Financials. Responsible for performance tuning Oracle
backend as well as performing Admin functions. Added users, performed
business process re-engineering. Managed tablespace utilization.
Completed capacity planning and performed stress test on new
implementation to make sure system can handle large volume of users.
Put in place backup procedures. Documented business processes.
- Worked in Content Management Department. Comcom is a crucial
application. Originally hired as the backup person for the ComCom and
Softheon imaging application specialists. Within 1 year, promoted to
the ComCom Primary specialist. This is very important, because up
until that time, there was no backup person able to function in
Production Support if the Primary Employee left the company
DB2 z/OS and DB2, Programmer/ System Analyst
- Programmed utility to cleanse 100 gigabytes of raw data from AS/400
DB2 on monthly basis. Minimized read/write I/O for single pass. Also,
tweaked SQL uploads to utilize fast BCP on MS SQL Server. Monitored
transactions and defined optimal queries to maximize load process and
meet performance benchmark goals. Reorganized Raid 5 to Raid 0 plus 1
(disk striping and mirroring). Performed capacity planning and
completed study to compare price/performance on Unix with costs
associated for Windows.
- Worked as a DB2 Systems Programmer for DB2 z/OS and DB2 for i, heavy
knowledge of DB2 internals and fixpacks. Implemented versions for NT
and Unix with AIX on AS/400. Loaded DB2 tars for install and installed
fixpacks. Created scripts for DB2 utilities. Tested DB2I, i.e., Spufi,
Dclgen, Program Preparation, Precompile and Bind. Used DSN utilities
to facilitate programmer productivity. Issued DB2 commands such as
display and term. In addition, worked with Omegamon for performance
tuning. Set up exception testing defaults to monitor DB2 performance.
- Installed BMC Mastermind productivity tools. Created JCL, issued ZAPs
and set up load modules for DB2 Alter, DASD Manager, Catalog Manager
and Activity Manager. Added CLISTs for menu interface to ISPF.
Installed numerous Platinum products and new version of TMON. Set up
SMP/E for IDMS. Created CLIST and Rexx programs with ISPF Dialog
Manager to create utilities for manager. Used TMON for performance
tuning of on-line CICS program from 17 minutes to 3 seconds. Built
"debug" mode routine to aid programmers.
- Programmed with COBOL embedded SQL statements for cursor-based
manipulation. Read in multiple records to speed up transaction
processing. Composed reports with maps to enhance current reporting
capabilities. Monitored performance of applications with Explain and
key statistical reports. Performed SQL review and gave recommendations
that reduced I/O of key Sales Tracking application. Utilized LOAD
utility to automate loads.
PEGA PEGARULES PROCESS COMMANDER (PRPC), Business Architect and System
Architect
- Implementation lead for PRPC versions 5.4 and 6.2 Using Microsoft
Project, created project plan to complete full project life cycle of
phases ( Inception, Elaboration, Construction and Transition. Worked
with Subject Matter Experts and setup workshop for Direct Capture of
Objectives (DCO). Managed team for high Return On Investment (ROI)
Sliver (Application). Used Application Profiler to create Workflows
and then used Application Accelerator to create initial application.
Lead Architect on 3 Slivers and utilized Healthcare and Project
Management Frameworks to develop re-usable modules. Helped train
Manager on Management Portal and setup workstations for Developer
Portal.
- Utilized Healthcare Framework to develop multiple Slithers. Worked
with DBAs to map Abstract and Concrete (instantiated non re-usable
classes) for data model. Defined re-usable components. Programmed with
various Rulesets and utilized Resolution for Major, Minor and Patch
migrations to production. Experience with Work Pools for collection of
work types and work classes.
UNIX ADMINISTRATOR / INTERNET
- Created C++ utility to perform data integration across web sites
utilizing XML for data interface exchange. Used CoInitialize to
initialize documents and CoCreateInstance to retrieve interface
pointers. VARIANT_BOOL was used to verify success of document loads.
IXMLDOMNodeList retrieved available XML tags. To get child nodes,
IXMLDOMNodeList was defined to C++ programs. In addition, wrote
results to MS SQL Server tables through ODBC. Also, wrote log utility
to benchmark various Web statistics.
- Worked with Visual C++ and Windows NT to interface with SDK to read
serial port and link terminal data to Java applications. Where
applicable, used Visual C++ to work with Oracle database to speed
database interface for fast inserts and updates. Prototyped functions
and defined variable scope to create reusable objects. Passed data by
address and pointers. Wrote numerous reusable objects for use by
other programmers.
- After installing Netra-i (Spark workstation 20) with Netscape
Communication Server, created Firewall for Gateway to Cisco Router and
enabled continued use of internal non-registered IP addresses and
converted them to external registered IP addresses for security. Proxy
Server and Firewall ensured protection from outside connections.
Replaced standard FTP and TELNET daemons with special Solstice
FireWall-1 FTP and TELNET daemons.
