Center for Fathers and Families ~ Organization established to teach fathers
and fatherless families relationship and parenting skills that lead to
family growth and empowerment. The center also works to break cycles of
dysfunction by helping youth succeed in school and gain valuable life
skills.
Master's Program Instructor February 2012 -
Present
Classroom instructor of students from 5-8th grade, with an average class
size of 27 students. Create weekly lesson plans. Regularly update
contact/safety/medical information of students, as necessary. Take record
of attendance, daily activity, and progress with students. Mentor students.
Serve as liaison between administration, parents and students.
California Fair Share ~ Grass roots agency focused on securing jobs,
improving the economy and working with citizens and lawmakers alike, to
protect families here in America.
Public Relations Associate September 2012-January
2013
Organized non-partisan town hall meeting for petition to local congressman.
Canvassed with small businesses to garner coalition support. Generated
database information for public outreach. Organized visibility events for
the California branch of Fair-Share Alliance.
Natomas Pacific Pathways Prep ~ Law-themed college preparatory high school
designed to ensure that students are challenged and successful throughout
high school, well-prepared for success in top universities and colleges,
and have a good sense of community service and engagement.
Enrichment Program Instructor August 2007 - August 2011
Validated and enhanced the productivity and success-rate of the, then
experimental, NP3 Middle School Enrichment Program through mentoring and
leading select groups of academically and behaviorally challenged students.
Created daily lesson plans, exercises, and assignments for students.
Significantly increased the GPA's and exam scores of students. As a result,
of the success of the program, the school administration formally adopted
the program and it continues to exist and is now significantly acclaimed
within the campus.
Mock-Trial Team Leader
Served as the De Facto Captain of the 2010 & 2011 Natomas Pacific Pathways
Prep Mock Trial teams. Medaled and Placed in the 2010-2011 Gordon D.
Schaber Mock Trial Competition.
