and foreign government agencies and NGO’s and prepares request for proposals, grant requests and
follows up to ensure completion of requests.
• Developed business plan for landscape business, established cost controls and systems to track
profitability, worked with customers and vendors to ensure seamless and timely completion of jobs
and adherence to the job contract.
• Prepared an assessment of the state of the Episcopal Church in the United States for the purposes of
assessing when particular churches are in crisis and evaluating alternate uses for church buildings and
land in order to diversify a churches income stream.
EXPORTERS INSURANCE – QBE THE AMERICAS

Exporters was a Group Captive insurance underwriter that issued political, credit risk insurance and
excess lines insurance. Exporters policy limits ranged from several thousand dollars for small excess lines
policies to 12.5 million in coverage for one of our infrastructure policies. At its peak Exporters employed
22 individuals based in London, Manhattan, Quito; Ecuador and Hamilton; Bermuda. Exporter’s was a
group captive owned by its members and board and was subsequently acquired by QBE North America in
2008.
Supervisor of Claims and Regulatory Administration Underwriter
• Worked with the Chief Underwriting Officer on assessing risk, writing policies and amendments and
issuance of policies
• Managed two excess lines programs.
• Responsible for certification and recertification of all NAIC and state licenses, which were necessary
for Exporters to legally underwrite insurance in the United States, and resulted in Exporters being
licensed to underwrite business in 18 states as well as on the national level through NAIC
certification.
• Worked with the General Counsel certifying compliance of Policies written for the foreign market as
well as the validity of claims that occurred both domestically and internationally.
• Oversaw issuance of all policies and endorsements; processed claims and payments, and monitored
losses throughout North and South America, Europe, and Asia; tracked losses for individual insurers.
Claims ranged from $500 to $12,000,000 and were multiple year claims.
• Issued all invoices for the company both for the New York and London offices
• Collaborated with underwriters on policy development.
THE NATIONAL HOUSING CONFERENCE
Washington, D.C. 1999 – 2001
The National Housing Conference is a lobbying group for affordable housing initiatives. The NHC is a
member’s based organization and relies on member’s dues and grants. With a staff of eight in
Washington D.C. the NHC effectively lobbies for affordable housing

• Oversaw all member service operations which including all billing, symposium tracking, and database
maintenance issues.
• Increased member base from 87 to 93 members and ensured retention with only two members not
renewing their membership during my tenure.
• Organized and managed NHC’s annual industry conference which is a gala event that is held yearly
and was open to both members and non members.
• Developed and disseminated internal and external correspondences which were position papers on
housing that were free to our members and were sold to the public.
• Assisted with inventory and accounting operations.

RE VISIONING NEW MEXICO 1998 – 1999

Re Visioning New Mexico is a community based non profit that seeks to increase community
representation and funds voter registration drives. Re Visioning New Mexico had a small staff of three
professionals who managed unpaid interns and volunteers and had a budget of less than $500,000 annually

• Conducted research on various projects focusing on political and social issues within the state of New
Mexico.
• Created political scorecard that was used for tracking the 1998 voting records of state legislators on
issues of campaign finance reform, environmental issues and human rights issues. The scorecard also
