WORK HISTORY:
January 2011 - Present - Compass Development Services - Project Manager
Provide Owner project management services for multiple major hotel renovation projects at the
Starwood owned Westin Peachtree Plaza. I managed the design team, construction team and
hotel operations team during the properties Central Plant Renovation, 1073 guest room and suite
renovation, Public Restroom Renovation, 12,200 square foot Sun Dial Restaurant Renovation,
Meeting/Ballroom Renovation and Lobby Renovation, and numerous boutique hotels in the
United States. I have successfully completed $52 million of projects on time and under budget.
Pre-design
o Reviewed potential properties for Owner and produced feasibility plans
for preliminary budgeting. Assisted in budget development.
Pre-Construction
o Reviewed design documents at the Design Development and
Construction Document phase for compliance with owner hotel brand
and operational standards and hotel industry design standards.
o Assisted Owner in developing and tracking project budgets.
o Created and maintained project scheduling through the design and
construction of all projects.
Bidding
o Pre-qualified potential General Contractors for owner consideration of
invitation to bid.
o Created General Contractor request for proposals which include Owner
contract, scope of work, project documents, project schedules and
bidding rules. Conducted pre-bid meetings to invited bidders and
coordinated sub-contractor bid walkthroughs.
o Reviewed all successfully submitted bids for compliance with scope of
work and owner mandated requirements. Produced specific and
comparative leveling analysis and documentation of all bids. Provided
recommendation to owner on successful bidder for the project.
Contracts
o Reviewed all Owner generated contracts for compliance with scope,
cost, allowances and qualifications. Negotiated final contract terms with
contractor based on Owner direction.
o Coordinated final signing and execution of contracts.
Construction
o Conducted pre-construction meetings which covered contractor logistics,
procedures, schedules, scope of work, operational rules.
o Worked closely with the on-site construction staff and senior leadership
teams to set expectations, review and solve issues, and coordinate
construction activities with Owner and Operation team.
o Reviewed site daily to ensure contractor was maintaining schedule and
following scope.
o Reported weekly to Ownership on progress of project financials and
construction.
