Dispatcher

Dispatched pick-ups and deliveries to a fleet of approximately 40 Independent Contractors operating tractor trailers,

straight trucks and cargo/sprinter vans. Jobs are dispatched throughout the day, business and residential pick-ups

and deliveries, door-to-door service, timely drops and recoveries to and from the airport to our warehouse or directly

to the customer. Mainly covered areas from Ocean County N.J. up to Orange County N.Y. and the entire Manhattan

Borough. Being that CEVA is a LTL logistic based company in this area between 600-800 deliveries and pick-ups

were performed daily.

Along with lengthy knowledge of domestic operations, I’m also very familiar with the processes of picking up loaded

imported steel containers from various ocean container stations.

Provided customer service for customers, independent contractors and internal representatives which included

scheduling appointments for deliveries and pick-ups, provided updates on the status of shipments and create

payment order numbers to ensure contractors are paid for their jobs and the services they provide.

Took inventory and provided resolutions for OS&D items (Overages, Shortages and Damages) by reporting

discrepancies directly to the shipper, customers or the eternal representative that is responsible for the shipper’s

account.

My daily objective as a dispatcher was to delegate company vehicles to perform pick-ups and deliveries in the most

cost-efficient and timely manner to maximize company revenue and production, while maintaining excellent

customer service. I have received letters of commendations from various customers and internal representatives for

the customer service I have provided such as track and trace and mitigating billing issues.
