IBM 07.01/2005- 02/22/11 (Hartford Insurance & Wellpoint z/OS)

Working on the Wellpoint account, performed support on all the Production and Test and Multi-Channel environments(15) in a Sysplex and data sharing environment for IMS DB/DC for Online and Batch environments, CICS Batch & Online, support for Dental Systems and old Medicare Systems.

Performed ongoing maintenance reorganizing databases according to space management reports and

requirements. HDAM randomizers revised via DBD changes.

Installed new databases, DBD/ACB/PSB gens, DBRC registration and maintenance.

Database conversions performed for VSAM 4.2 gig limits to OSAM 8 gig and also partitioning as

needed based on reports. DBD/ACB gens Created PSB gens as needed for applications and also

DBA load jobs.

Ongoing support for monthly DOWNTIME 8 hour window to perform upgrades to DBD's for

all IMS Database maintenance and conversions; namely, NEON PARTITIONING, HALDB, HDAM, VSAM TO OSAM conversions, DB TOOLS upgrades for new software releases for BMC software, and DBRC upgrades to the RECONS.

Supported FULL FUNCTION IMS databases, FAST PATH DEDB's, HALDB, HDAM, HIDAM and LRSP-Long System Range Planning software from BCA.

Performed ongoing problem analysis and resolution via SWAT calls for unexpected outages, afterhours support, and oncall 24x7.

Converted the Missouri Data Center Production databases to the California System, migrating all new

databases in special LPAR and performed all the system analysis successfully solely. All Stage1 gens, ACB,DBD's, PSB's and dynallib macros, DBRC registration, DBA maintenance jobs implemented

on target dates. Previously converted databases from BMC Datapacker tool to IBM Data Compression Routine for 200+ databases before it was changed again to keep BMC software.

Worked on a $22 million contract with IBM/Wellpoint to convert all IMS Databases from

Neon Partitioning to HALDB, removing all BMC software and converting to IBM DB Tools/software.

All JCL and PROCS converted to IBM standards for all software and control cards.

Blue Cross of California 03/05/75- 06/30/2005 Wellpoint

Worked exclusively on Wellpoint's PROSERV Pharmacy system SYSPLEX with primary FAST PATH and HALDB databases, that also comprised Neon Partitioning. Monthly routine maintenance window during 8 hour DOWNTIME window to perform Reorgs and DBD maintenance if needed.

Worked on overseas system for Wellpoint's HANSTAR system, all Fast Path DEDB's for Production

and test environments. Routine maintenance applied during DOWNTIME weekends and ongoing

online reorgs on weekends.

Worked on MTO Procs and procedures and created procs and control cards for COCMTOA'scurrently in use for DBA maintenance and some batch jobs, providing applications resources to use created by DBA.

Tested all PTF's to be applied prior to Production on PMR's and open Change Management RFC's

and incidents opened where problems were reported on database or software issues. Worked exclusively with BMC and IBM technicians and Level 1 and Level 2 support. Provided system dumps and sysmdumps as well as jes logs,MVS console logs, and job logs..

Instrumental in testing for new software enhancements for IMS prior to Production for

z/OS 1.11, DB TOOLS and TOOLKITS for BMC software and also VSAM enhancements for new

version of IMS and control card updates for all VSAM defines, and RECON UPGRADES for DBRC.

Converted WGS 1.3 to WGS 2.0 CLAIMCHECK from HANSTAR to CLAIMS WGS 2.0 for

Test, Development, Multi-Channel, and Production environments solely.

Converted DOS/MVT Online/Batch programs to OS/MVS, created new JCL Procs for all load programs, backup JCL for Image Copies and Restores for Recoveries.
