This application is an excise tax calculation package used by

pharmaceutical companies to calculate excise tax payable to the government

as part of Obama care initiatives. This project is based on onshore

offshore model.

Responsibilities:

. Co-ordination with Business groups for requirement reviews and signoff

. Work with system developers (Offshore) to resolve questions and

discrepancies in Business Requirement Documents.

Project: Guardian Life Insurance is one of the world's largest insurance

and mutual fund Company providing diversified financial solutions in life

and disability income insurance, retirement services and investment

products for over 100 years.

Some of the major projects executed/being executed successfully are as

below:

. IDB:

The Investments Database application (IDB) is a decision making tool used

by the Investment banking department at Guardian Life. This application

is critical and time sensitive and the Investments department relies on

it for their daily trade decisions, executions and allocations. This

application is written in .NET 4.0 (MVP pattern) with WCF and uses SQL

Server 2008 as the database. The application contains Fixed Income,

Equity, Real Estate, Performance Analytics, Derivatives, Risk Management

and Research modules.

The IDB nightly load process fetches data from CAMRA accounting system.

The IDB system uploads ratings, analytics and prices for securities held

to IDC, Muller and Bloomberg accounting systems. The data is downloaded

from vendors and provided to traders for their daily trading initiatives.

Responsibilities:

. Preparation of Business Requirements Documents and Functional

Requirements Documents defining new systems operations.

. Co-ordination with Business groups for requirement reviews and signoff

. Work with system developers (Offshore) to resolve questions and

discrepancies in Business Requirement Documents.

. Conduct Design reviews.

to an offshore company. Responsibilities included knowledge transfer,

coordinating tasks, activities, providing technical expertise and

ensuring the project timelines are met.

the project. Provide technical assessment for development tasks

including estimates to the Project Manager. Subsequent follow up for

delays or issues affecting project timelines.

. Ensuring SDLC guidelines mandated by the corporate office is strictly

followed and documents are updated in Share point.

. Perform UAT testing on IDB quarterly releases and ensuring components

are reliable, consistent and meets quality standards.

. Providing status updates on a regular basis to Project Manager and

SBSO regarding the state of IDB project.

. Ensure functional requirement documents are documented after meeting

with the business analyst. Conduct JAD sessions and impact analysis

for IDB components.
