Ensure the protection of the environment and safety.

Monitoring daily drilling operations and providing technical and engineering support to drilling

operations.

Monitoring the daily progress of well operations and current daily costs, comparing actual

costs with cost expenditure proposals and recommending changes or improvements to rig

work techniques, which could lead to optimization of expenditure.

Develops and coordinates major studies in any of the Petroleum Engineering areas based

upon objectives and requirements established by Ganope Operations/Management.

Initiating new studies or applied technical work as required and directing and performing all

phases of the study through formal summary reports and presentation to Ganope

Operations/Management.

Administering drilling and service contracts, engineering design and the planning of wells.

Preparing well data sheets, obtaining data, carrying out analysis and recommending

immediate actions as necessary and carrying out full engineering analyses of rig site data and

preparing regular well reports.

Able to generate risk based well-cost estimates for exploration and development scenarios.

Liaising with specialist contractors and suppliers.

Designing directional well paths (horizontally or multi-laterally, as appropriate).

Responsibility for ensuring that the well site activity is carried out effectively and to budget .

Recommends initiation of or re-direction of new or existing studies and related technical work

toward improving operating efficiencies and reduce unit costs

Preparing drilling/workover programs.

Review the work of other engineers.

Review drilling program s of the Joint Venture/Exploration companies to provide the technical

opinion for Ganope approval.

Evaluate Tenders, Contracts, OPEX, and CAPEX & AFE’s.

Evaluate Drilling performance & drilling fluids performance by conventional methods & KPI.

Involved in drilling Multilateral, Deviated, Horizontal and Vertical wells.

Very good Understanding of under Balanced, overbalanced drilling techniques and well

control procedures.

Solving frequent drilling problems such as: Stuck pipe, Kicks/Losses.
