Responsibilities: Provided home visitations for instruction and social support to clients
within the Migrant program as per the policies of the First 5 Program and the Migrant program.
Instructed clients of educational fundamentals. Support was provided for clients with mental
health needs by way of counseling through case management.
Counseling Skills: Directed clients in regards to state county and federal referral
programs, including community education courses, community health organizations, and the
introduction of community organizations which offer support and assistance with food, utilities,
and financial assistance in various areas needed. Introduced support groups for adults and
children on various topics. Delivered and distributed donations provided by community
organizations.
Administrative Skills: The creation and implementation of monthly self-help adult
education in areas of mental health, domestic violence, child abuse, learning strategies and
various needful topics for parents by way of instruction, meetings and/or field trips; provided
surveys to parents instituted by Tulare County Office of Education; Administered and proctored
Tulare County mandated exams; Supervision, organization, and the scheduling of educational
field trips for large groups of students and their families. Managed client cases and organized
information on computer files submitted tests and paperwork monthly. Recorded testing results
to document deviations in student's assessments. Composition of various flyers, forms and letters
for clients, colleagues and community organizations.
