Responsible for a wide variety of projects covering Open Source software development, Service Orient

Architecture, private cloud implementations and software deployment. Was lead on continuous integration

builds, and Spring Integration for Intalio Create. Lead a team of software developers from around the world

to help eBay open source the Turmeric SOA framework. During this time I was also actively participating

on the Eclispe Architecture Council.

XML Data Consultant at Silicon Software

January 2010 - December 2012 (3 years)

XML Data Consultant for Standards organizations, implementing agile software development techniques.

XML Data Architect at STAR

February 2005 - January 2010 (5 years)

Resposnible for the development, maintenance, and release of the Business to Business data standards for the

Dealership management systems for the Automotive, Powersports, Heavy Duty Truck, and marine industries.

Continues support and development of tools for implementing the specifications. Working with various

other organizations, and software development companies to help implement the standards.

1997 - 2005 (8 years)

Worked on a variety of applications and client sites. Primarily focused on E-Commerce and Business to

Business data exchanges. Worked in multiple programming languages, and multiple platforms. A sample

project:

Developed a WYSIWYG Template Editor for Unemployment Claims system. Replaced a developer that was

having problems implementing the system. Turned the project around so that it implemented a web based

editor using Visual Basic, and XML for the storage medium. Developed REST based Web Services and

interfaced with the main Java EE application for printing and processing the letters. The editor would

generate XSLT files that were then used to process XML files into PDF documents. Developed a polling and

printing application to automatically print the PDF documents at the appropriate printer when the documents

were generated. All processing happened real time and documents were created from the XSLFO source

files produced by the XSLT Templates.

Developed a SQL Server DTS transformation application, that interfaced with external systems. Needed to

work entirely in T-SQL and work with multiple trading partners.

Serenity for Android

December 2012 to Present

Serenity for Android is a client for the Plex Media Server and Android 3.2 or higher devices. It is optimized

for the 10ft viewing experience, but runs equally as well on tablets with 720p displays or higher. The larger

the screen the better it is. The project is open source, under a MIT license.

Vex - Visual Editor for XML

Members:Dave Carver

Vex is a document focused XML editor. It provides a WYSIWYMG type visual editor primarily for

DocBook, DITA, XHTML, and other document focused formats. Brought the project over from SourceForge

as an eclipse web tools project. Rebuilt up a team while in the Eclipse Web Tools Incubator, and eventually

graduated the project to the Mylyn Docs project where the project is being actively developed.

Eclipse XML Source Editing Tools

Primarily worked on the XSL tools portion. Team lead for the XSLT Editor and PsychoPath XPath processor.

Responsible for the implementation of the XSLT editor and extending the Eclipse XML editor to support

XSLT related tasks.

WTP Incubator

Lead on the WTP Incubator project at Eclipse. It is a high level project where sub projects can be nurtured

and grown. Eventually as they mature and establish a community they can be graduated to an appropriate top

level project.

Turmeric SOA

Turmeric is a collection of SOA runtime components, and enterprise web services. It provides a scalability

and is used extensively by EBay. Lead the team that opened source the software, and responsible for

maintenance of the Turmeric Eclipse Plugin.
