Led the proposal effort and was assigned as Project Manager for program to develop and install a Voyage Management System (VMS) with digital nautical charts on a hovercraft. Utilized project management software to efficiently project revenue, forecast resource requirements, determine estimates to complete and budget and track effort at a level that provided direct support for cost reimbursement. Early detection of potential overruns allowed for immediate analysis and implementation of changes. Coordinated the efforts of a team of ten core engineers, establishing software development guidelines to meet tailored military requirements while staying within budget

Lead Software Engineer, SEAWOLF Ship Control System Software

Led the efforts of a multi-disciplinary team co-located in Syracuse, NY, consisting of Lockheed Martin, Draper Labs, Newport News Shipbuilding and Sperry Marine personnel. Directly responsible for the successful completion of software development, integration, formal test and delivery of the first release of the SEAWOLF Ship Control System software. Directed efforts to optimize embedded system software performance, identifying areas for improvement and assessing the impact of design changes while still meeting system requirements.
