Projects INFLUENCE OF BIO ADMIXTURE ON MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF
CEMENT AND CONCRETE.
The present study reveals that the compressive strength and setting time
of cement are influenced by the bio admixture - hydro extract and bio
fine powder of water hyacinth. The setting time was found to be
delayed with increase in replacement percentage of bio admixture
whereas, the compressive strength and workability increased with
increasing concentration of bio-admixture.sorpitivity was also reduced
with increased replacement percentage.
Mini Projects STENGTH CHARACTERISTICS OF COCONUT SHELL AS COARSE
AGGREGATE IN CONCRETE
The main advantage of introducing coconut shell as coarse aggregate is
because it is found to be cost effective and after estimating the cost
analysis it was found to be 42% more effective than conventional
concrete so this is more effective when compared with cost. Water
absorption was also found to be effective in coconut shell replacement;
the water absorption was 7% less when compared with conventional
concrete. And finally it was light weight before the completion of the
test the weight was measured and by appropriate replacement it was
found to be less weight than conventional concrete
