Dear Hiring Manager,

I’ve enjoyed a **+ year successful Accounting/ Financial career with large companies. Since 2015 I’ve pursued a number of different roles including Real Estate Investing, Small Business Owner, Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor, and Caribbean Sailor/ Sailing lessons. As a next step I am seeking to re-engage in my career in Accounting / Finance.

My past accounting and financial roles include; Vice President of Commercial Operations, Chief Risk Officer, Director of Business Process, Controller, Accounting Supervisor and Lead Internal Auditor. I spent much of my career at Battelle where I was exposed to many types of clients, industries and financial arrangements. I’ve worked with Federal and State Regulated industries, Research & Development, Product Design, Utilities and Manufacturing with clients ranging from large multinational conglomerates, Federal and State Government Agencies to small startups. I managed large support organizations and lead multiple initiatives within Accounting, Business, Financial and Legal support services.

I enjoy an ability to quickly learn varied and unique requirements of new technologies, businesses and industries. I thrive in challenging environments often accomplishing difficult assignments; handle the stress of being accountable for delivery and completing goals on time. I practice strong attention to detail, persevere through tough obstacles, and do not get easily discouraged. I’m experienced in leading multidisciplinary teams to achieve objectives and support the overall mission and vision of new or existing organizations, systems and processes.
