I am a qualified Auto Electrician and I am currently working with Global Bus Ventures based in Rolleston Christchurch working as a heavy duty automotive electrician for a bus building company. Duties include general auto electrical work, loom making, cable running, diagnostics and warranty repairs. On leaving secondary school in 1998, I attended Cumbernauld College and studied a National Certificate level 2 and level 3 in Automotive Engineering. I then secured a 4 year apprenticeship in Auto Electrics at John Paton and Son Taxi Garage. As part of my apprenticeship I went to college on a day release and studied for my City and Guilds in Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Electronics. In September 2004 I completed my apprenticeship and qualified as an Auto Electrician. I carried on with the company for a further 4 years as Lead Auto Electrician. As well as working for CUBIC, I have ran my own auto electrical company from my garage at home part time; I’ve been running my garage for 4 years now. Working on all makes and models of car. Fitting and maintaining Taxi’s from all different taxi companies. Fitting taxi meters, GPS systems and radio systems, sat nav, hands free kits, additional lighting and general auto electrical work.

My objectives are to learn, train, and challenge myself to a high standard. To be able to progress to higher levels and be a dedicated member of staff/team and continue to pass on my knowledge to others. I work well within a team and on my own; I pride myself on working on my own initiative. I love to learn new skills to improve my working environment. I take pride in my appearance to look good in my uniform at al l times. I take pride in any job I undertake and have very high standards. I’m very outgoing and enjoy having a laugh. HOBBIES & INTERESTS

In my spare time I enjoy going to the Alpine Ice Arena with my wife, kids and friends to watch the The Canterbury Red Devils Ice Hockey Team. We go every weekend and also to some away games. Its very family orientated with a great atmosphere. I also enjoyed hill walking, hiking and camping. Going to the cinema, lunch with friends and traveling around the world when possible.
