In charge of operations for this $10mm sporting goods supplier with 45 employees including P&L, product development, product testing, procurement (MRP), assembly, packaging and box store EDI fulfillment. Customers served include box stores, industry buy groups and individual dealers serving the domestic and foreign sporting goods industry. Named on three NAP patents.

FPM Heat Treating, Elk Grove Village, IL 1993-2002

Responsible for all operations, including P&L, budgeting, purchasing and production planning, for this $60 million full service commercial heat-treater with multiple locations. Client industries include automotive, aerospace, agricultural and construction. Responsible for building and relocating processes into three 100,000 sq. ft facilities.

Vice President - Operations

In charge of P&L and budgeting for this $22mm precision screw machine company with 150 employees servicing first tier automotive, agricultural, and OEM markets. Product lines included high-volume precision ground screw machine components as well as full CNC capabilities.

Ingersoll Milling Machine Company, Rockford, IL 1983-1989

Plant Manager

Coordinated P&L and production operations for this $75mm transfer line assembly division in a 100,000 square foot facility with 90 non-union employees. Directed the construction, run-off and shipment of complete high-speed engine block and cylinder head machining automated manufacturing lines, including associated general maintenance and repair equipment.

Project Manager

Responsible for companywide simultaneous Engineering program. Worked with Ford Motor Co. developing high speed machining centers for the Ford Modular Engine FOF Program (Factory of the Future). Assisted in the development of linear motor axis drives and air-bearing spindles.

Assembly Supervisor

Responsible for Large Floor CNC construction, run-off, and dis-assembly. Supervised construction of Portal, Open Side, and specialty large CNC equipment. Supervised the assembly and run-off of 32-axis graphite tape laying machines to produce Bell Helicopter Osprey wings.

Beloit Corporation, Beloit, WI 1979-1983

Maintenance Superintendent

Managed all maintenance duties for this $50mm foundry producing high-volumes of gray iron and steel needed for industrial applications. Oversaw a team of four foremen, three clerical staff and 40 union trade workers in all operating policies and procedures.

Assistant Plant Engineer

Effectively handled a wide array of functions involving all aspects of plant engineering and maintenance for this $25mm commercial gray iron foundry. Trained, mentored and supervised three maintenance foremen and 14 workers in this union shop.
