CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT & COST SAVING PROJECTS

As Supervisor over the Conformal Coating Dept., from Jan. 2011 until Oct. 2013, I was able to implement processes to help reduce overall defects from the conformal coating process by 91.14% during that time frame. Some of these improvements included cost saving projects which saved Primus approx. $100K per year over that time period.

As Supervisor/Manufacturing Engineer over the SMT Dept., from Sept. 2012 until Dec. 2013, I was able to help implement processes to improve the Sigma Levels within the process and reliability outside of the process (Sigma measure outside the process included Test and Final Inspection). The Sigma Level within SMT, when relieved of my duties, was 5.59, Test was at 6 Sigma from Jun. 2013-Dec. 2013, and Final Inspection has been at a 5.97-6 Sigma from Jul. 2013-Dec. 2013. All improvements were department highs for the company during any year of production.

In the role of Plant Supervisor at Consolidated Container Co. I initiated and led a CI/Kaizen project to reduce scrap in the plant. Scrap from the production floor included waste resin (virgin & recycled) and color. In 2015 plant scrap was recorded at 277,300 lbs. The project was initiated at the beginning of 2016 and by the conclusion of 2016 scrap was reduced to 54,000 lbs. This was an 83.8% reduction in scrap, which correlated to a savings in $215K for the plant.
