CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENT, John Donaldson Construction, Ventura, California, responsible for hands on supervision of multiple and concurrent tenant improvement projects throughout Northern California and Reno, Nevada. Including; full responsibility for all functions from obtaining Building Permits through Certificates of Occupancy.

CEO, Rope Tie Downs, Inc. Reno, Nevada. Founded and managed a small manufacturing company to produce and distribution of my patented construction related products through a network of Sales Representatives and Distributors worldwide. Sold business to return to my career in construction.

SENIOR SPECIAL PROJECTS MANAGER, Del Webb Corp., Sun City Lincoln Hills, California. Team leadership responsibility for the design, construction, furnishing and start-up of $133million, amenities that included six commercial buildings program within an 18-month completion schedule. The project was a 4300+ home, age restricted community development included the following amenities; Entrance Guard/Information buildings, 65,000sf Community Recreation Center, Restaurant & Ballroom, 18-hole Golf Course Pro Shop & (best practice) Cart Barn, Golf Course Restrooms & 12,400sf Golf Maintenance Facility, Baseball sports complex, 8 court Tennis complex, Bocci ball center, grand children’s Playground, 8,000sf Sales/Design Center building, & 11,000sf Corporate Office building.

SPECIAL PROJECTS MANAGER, Del Webb Corp., Northern California Communities, Roseville, California. Accepted exempt employee position for the Roseville Sun City second phase commercial amenities consisting of the design and construction of a 10,000sf Golf Clubhouse, Meeting Rooms & Golf Cart Barn with on course structures to support the additional 9 holes of Golf.

Concurrent responsibility for the design, construction and furnishing of the commercial amenities on a age restricted community located in Cloverdale California consisting of Recreation Center 5000sf building with amenities that including a tennis court, swimming pool and outdoor recreation activities facilities.

SENIOR CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENT, Del Webb Corp., Sun City Roseville, Roseville, California. Accepted the onsite responsibilities with the challenge of getting the project back on track to improve productivity, quality, and subcontractor relations, and deliver each of the furnished buildings to operations on time and within budget. The 3300+ home age restricted community project consisted of a 52,000sf Recreation Facility that included indoor & outdoor Swimming Pools, Fitness Center, Restaurant & Ballroom, Golf Pro Shop, Golf Cart Barn, 8 lighted Tennis Court Sports Complex with 6 Bocci Ball Courts, Storage & Refreshment Stand, and the $1.3million Golf Maintenance Facility. Active member of the HOA Property Committee.

PURCHASING AGENT, Del Webb Corp., Roseville, California. Retained as a consultant by the nation’s largest active adult residential community developer, to complete the qualifying, documentation and purchasing of commercial subcontractors and material suppliers.

PRESIDENT, PMK Associates, Inc., Sacramento, California. Start-up and operate a Design/Build construction company that provided new construction of conventional and Tilt-Up buildings, remodeling, tenant improvements, space planning, mechanical & electrical design/build, and maintenance for owners of commercial, industrial, retail, restaurant and hospitality remodeling and new construction projects. Sold business to retire.

PROJECT MANAGER, Murchison Construction, Inc., Sacramento, California. Responsible for the construction of a $12.5mil, 294-unit active adult mid-rise wood frame senior apartment complex with 20,000sf amenities facility that included a 175-seat restaurant located in San Jose California.

CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENT/PROJECT MANAGER, Rogers Construction Inc., Nashville Tennessee, Denver Colorado office. Develop and construct the $100million+, Resorts International, Arrowhead at Vail, a 2450-acre private Golf/Ski Resort located 10 miles west of Vail Colorado. A Jack Nicklaus designed meadow style 18 Golf Couse with support facilities, Club House & Restaurant, 2 lift ski mountain, complete infrastructure, responsible for the bottom line accountability for the on-site management & supervision. Completed on time & budget with 1 lost time accident.

DIRECTOR OF MARKETING & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT, Rogers Construction Inc., Nashville Tennessee. Member of the startup team for the new Rocky Mountain Division in Denver, to establish a general contracting profit center in the rocky mountain region.

CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENT, Rodgers Construction, Inc., Nashville, Tennessee. Supervised the construction of the Colorado Ute Electric Association $10Mil. computer operations center, housed in a self-contained concrete tilt-up building with redundant utilities, included site improvements a negotiated change order for the construction of a lake and service tunnel connected to the other buildings in the complex, located in Montrose Colorado. Project completed ahead of schedule & below lump sum bid, with no lost time accidents.

CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENT, Roache Construction, Inc., Greeley, Colorado. Supervised the construction trades and subcontractors of a 42,000sf sub-zero frozen food storage facility located in Grand Junction, Colorado. Responsible for hiring & supervising all on site labor forces for all work except Mechanical and Electrical. Supervise and coordinate mechanical, electrical, refrigeration and finish sub-contractors. Completed project ahead of schedule and under lump sum bid with no lost time accidents.

ESTIMATOR, Orloff Minerals, Inc., Grand Junction, Colorado. Estimating and planning for Coal, Uranium, Molybdenum/Samarium, and Oil Shale, mining and processing facilities throughout the western United Stated. All materials & trades quantity take-off, estimating man-hours & costs, budgeting and scheduling. Performed on Site production studies, progress reporting and labor troubleshooting.

ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT, General Growth Development, Des Moines, Iowa. Supervised and coordinated the initial infrastructure & foundation construction of 560,000sf, 100 shops regional shopping mall, including a 40,000sf Sears store located in Grand Junction, Colorado.

SCHEDULING COORDINATOR, Wigton-Abbott Corporation, Plainfield, New Jersey. Various responsibilities reporting directly to the Vice President of construction with a top 25 construction firm, employing 150+ in house architects and engineers specializing in design/build construction of research laboratories and industrial facilities throughout the eastern half of the United States. Studied, adapted and implemented the use of the Critical Path Method of Scheduling to the strategic and detail planning of the design, engineering and construction of all projects. Established new projects onsite startups, tracked progress during construction, returning to complete final punch. Studied and continued my education evenings during my 12-year tenure with this firm.
