Qualifications

I have been employed by Quadra and its affiliates for over thirteen years. For eight years I have been a crew lead with many responsibilities. I have eight people working under myself. I lead the morning safety meeting for the crew and then assign them a task. I assign the tasks in order of priority as well as which team member will best complete said task.

Work History

Feb.2005 to Present, Assay/Met Lab Technician.

I help to organize the members in my team to accomplish the goals of the company. I train them on all lab procedures as well as equipment. I troubleshoot our equipment in the lab to be able to facilitate completing the job in a timely matter. I also give employee reviews to determine their strengths and weaknesses so they can improve. I have to send out daily reports using Microsoft Excel and a LIM’s system. I have to double check all results sent out to make sure it meets all of our QA/QC standards. I have to mix and blend reagents to use for the operation of or sample needs. I also helped develop SOP’s and conduct safety audits. I work on several types of instruments including Leco for sulfur and carbon, MP for assay of metals, AA for assay of metals and fire furnaces for assay of gold. I am also an active member of our Mine Rescue team.

Oct.2004 to Feb.2005, Phlebotomist.

In this role I was responsible for entering patient data into computers. I also had to draw blood using proper technique as well as staying within guidelines of the law. I also had training on proper shipping protocols for biohazard material.

Education

High school diploma, Brantley Co. High School, Nahunta, Ga.

Computer Skills

I have experience with several computer programs. I can navigate excel to make spreadsheets and other data collection sheets. I use Word for publications needed to advance procedure building. I also have experience with PowerPoint. I use a LIMS (Lab Information Monitoring System) on a daily basis.
