As a caring and supportive individual with a desire to help others: I was drawn to apply for a position at your company. As a recent graduate of Philander Smith College I have acquired excellent knowledge and skills to work with and support diverse communities. I graduated top of my class as a 4.0 scholar, made the Deans and President’s list.

I feel that through my in-depth internship at the Family Development Center working as a case manager, I have hands on experience doing assessments, advocating for clients, making referrals and counseling at risk teens. I have a good understanding of child and family development, available support options and can provide interventional therapy to individuals or small groups. I possess over 5 years of experience promoting the well-being of others in the community and providing resources to clients, families, and caregivers of the elderly population.

These experiences drew out my flexibility, creativeness, and ability to establish and maintain good rapport. My positon at the Family Development Center has enabled me to develop good understanding of client’s needs and requirements. Furthermore, as a youth case manager and activity director it enabled me to make sound assessments, provide guidance and make referrals, which will contribute to my success as a social worker. I also serves as the ambassador for the Arkansas Fair Housing Commission and offer excellent in critical thinking skills, and time and organizational management skills.
