SUMMARY:

Extensive knowledge of signal processing with focus on underwater acoustic signal processing. Analyzed the acoustical ambient noise in the north Pacific during SPICEX. Analyzed the effect of internal wave scattering on the vertical directionality of ambient noise in SOFAR channel. Showed that internal wave scattering could be an effective mechanism in transfer of near-surface generated noise into SOFAR channel. Compared transport theory and parabolic equation (RAM- PE) in propagation modeling of near-surface sources in presence of internal wave scattering and sea floor interaction. Compared the low frequency ambient noise in the major experiments in the North Pacific From 1960’s to 2000’s. Analyzed the effect of array tilt on measurements of vertical linear arrays. Experienced in array signal processing includes beamforming, detection and target classification. Developed a new neural network (Multi-Spread Probabilistic Neural Network) for classification of passive sonar targets in Persian Gulf. EDUCATION:
