I had the opportunity to learn of a position as an Associate Quality Engineer and I would like to apply for the position. I learned of this position through Glassdoor.

As a recent graduate of the University of Maryland, I applied the technical content taught in my courses into critical thinking and problem solving for various research projects. Most recently, I worked with a team of other Bioengineer to design and prototype an energy-efficient and reusable warming blanket for preventing perioperative hypothermia in Infants and Neonatal patients. I managed material selection for this project and used AutoCAD software to design and test several prototypes of our blanket which contributed immensely to the selection of our final design and ultimately the success of our project. My work in cell biology lab allowed me to learned and apply Lab techniques such as Fluorescence microscopy, Cell staining and Flow cytometry and Assay development to study the effects of Curcumin on apoptosis in HL60 Leukemia cancer cell lines. I am very passionate about the possibilities of innovative medical device research and my experiences as a designer and researcher have prepared me and exposed me to the necessary working environment that would enable me to excel at this position.

While I was a full-time student, I also worked part-time as a leasing agent and learned professional relationship development. I interacted with clients daily regarding apartment inquiry and promptly resolved resident complaints using the proper resources. While working as a leasing agent, in response to a companywide search for tools to retain residents, I created several activities to help boost client retention and maximize sale. This resulted in the apartment achieving a 97% occupancy rate for the current leasing year. Currently, I work as a research intern where I recruit participants and collect data for a clinical study on fever monitoring using IR thermal cameras and Matlab software.

My experience in various professional settings combined with my technical background would enable me to learn, understand and adapt quickly to a great company culture. I love working in teams and I am an always-learning problem solver. I have what it takes to thrive in this position and I highly anticipate hearing back from you.
