.Net software development. Subject was Electric Resistance Weld defect analysis to be utilized in pipe fracture analysis for large diameter high pressure gas or liquid pipes. The goal was to create software capable of forecasting usable lifetime of pipes under varying pressure loads, given specific defect characteristics. Software has a multi-threaded simulation component using multiple statistical distributions for analyzing possible failure scenarios. The software was awarded the R&D 100 Awards for 2017 for excellence in the software category. Created a distributed version of the above simulation software as a proof of concept for long-running simulations using socket communications.
