PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

THE PETROLEUM INSTITUTE, Abudhabi, UAE 2016 – 2017 Petroleum Engineer (Research Associate)

§ Worked on ADCO (AbuDhabi Company for Onshore Oil Operations) project to evaluate potential smart brines for low salinity flooding to enhance the oil recovery; created standard operating procedures (SOP) for laboratory investigation.

§ Spearheaded the screening of potential smart brine and performed core flooding runs using VINCI Technologies; highly experienced in obtaining and analyzing measurements of porosity, saturation, and permeability used for evaluation of reservoir parameters.

§ Managed team of 4-5 engineers who were responsible for building enhanced oil recovery (EOR) simulation models for given reservoir field data.

§ Proficient in reservoir simulation using CMG for polymer, CO2 flooding, water flooding, alkaline surfactant polymer

(ASP), foam, and simultaneous injections of miscible gas and polymers (SIMGAP). FLUOR ENTERPRISES INC., Sugarland, TX 2013 – 2015

Process Engineer

Oversaw the design, construction, maintenance, and improvement of equipment and essential processing facilities; participated in the following key projects:

§ Flint Hills Resources –PDH-1 Expansion; Increased polymer grade propylene (PGP) production above 200,000 pounds per hour through effective and efficient use of new and revamped equipment.

§ Exxon Neftegas Limited – Analyzed gas dehydration and fuel/gas stripping methods, designed new flare and relief system, and performed optimization studies, ultimately saving Exxon over $2 Billion in operating costs and avoided costly installation of new flare system.

§ Anadarko Petroleum Corporation – Oversaw air and nitrogen utility system and sanitary disposal system, and designed thermal oxidizer for atmospheric vents for entire facility. Produced piping and instrumentation diagram

(P&ID), Process Flow Diagram (PFD), and heat and material balance (HMB) for systems in-charge off. Anusha Kothandhapani

UNIVERSITY OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA, Los Angeles, CA 2012 – 2012 Petroleum Engineer

§ Led research project to evaluate liquid-rich shale oil reservoir in San Joaquin basin; used DOGGR software to study production and injection history of wells. Interpreted all relevant information to better understand drilling history and create well decline curves.

§ Developed solution gas drive model for geo-pressurized aquifer to predict the gas and water production.

§ Familiarity with Down Hole Stream Generator (DHSG) for use in heavy oil fields and arctic environments/climates.

§ Created end-to-end drilling program routine for developmental mock well 5305 feet deep; came up with an estimate plot of days and depth.

LARSEN & TOURBO VALDEL ENGINEERING, Bangalore, India 2008 – 2010 Process Engineer

Completed 8 projects including offshore and onshore modifications, risk management, floating production storage offloading

(FPSO), water injection, proposals and pre-engineering efforts; key projects/accomplishments include:

§ ZADCO – A $2 Million-dollar project to boost production to 25,000 barrels of oil per day – Developed well head and process platform simulation using HYSYS design software; managed the purchasing of compressors and GDU packages, ensured accurate design, and performed depressurization studies via HYSYS.

§ BGEPIL – Objective was to eliminate risks associated with continuous usage of current oil storage tanks by adding new surge vessels, accommodating additional oil production of 60,000 barrels per day (BPD). Recommended two options both saving man-hours and time, with one eliminating the need of installing new flare system; this would have been a very significant monetary investment.

§ Saudi Aramco – Oversaw preparation of request for quote (RFQ), labor, and time estimates; completed technical queries, risk matrices, and project scope documents.

§ ADNOC/OPCO & Oman Oil Company– Served as Job Engineer for proposal and FEED verification; generated technical qualifications, scope of work, and project time estimates for proposal(s). Specialized in line sizing, line list, pump hydraulics, chemical injection requirements, and numerous filtration techniques.

§ MODEC (Houston) – Prepared line lists for all FPSO modules, created operating manuals, and commissioning procedures during start-up and shutdown; oversaw Foam, fire, water, and hydraulic schematics in PIPENET. Ensured compliance with quality ISO audits.
