Senior Mailroom Processing Driver:

As permanent Senior Mailroom Processing Driver, I am responsible assisting the Mailroom Sergeant with the over-seeing of a mailroom staff of eight employees. I am responsible for the training of modified employee duties and new hires on Mailroom policies, processing offender mail, and various computer programs used for rejecting offender mail. Working as a team, I assist in the processing of in-coming and out-going employee and offender mail and by weight, postage, and fees according to the United States Postal Service and Mailroom policies. I also assist the inspection of in-coming and out-going offender mail for possible contraband in an x-ray machine and by physical observation. I am responsible for processing the unauthorized offender mail by use of the FPU Program according to policy. I am responsible for maintaining my own spreadsheet of rejected offender mail I have processed and maintaining my own filing by alphabet and/or numerical order. I am responsible for ordering and maintaining an inventory of office supplies that is used in the mailroom. I am also responsible for customer service with offender families via telephone and assisting them with offender mail questions while maintaining confidentiality in the disclosure of information, mailroom policies and confidentiality.

OFFICE ASSISTANT/OAS - ADMINISTRATIVE SEGREGATION:

As permanent Office Assistant to the Administrative Segregation Officer, I was responsible for the data entry of offender information. I was also responsible for the distribution of the Administrative Segregation forms to the offender and to the Administrative Segregation Officer.

OFFICE ASSISTANT/OA3 – HEARINGS:

As permanent Office Assistant to one of two Hearings Officers, my main responsibility was data entry of offender infractions. I was also responsible for scheduling hearing dates and times for the Hearings Officer I assisted. I was also responsible for general office duties which included filing by alphabet and/or numerical order, email and postal mail, customer service via telephone while maintaining confidentiality and following Hearings policies.

OFFICE ASSISTANT/OA2 – MAILROOM:

As permanent Office Assistant in the mailroom, I was responsible for processing the in-coming and out-going employee and offender mail by weight, postage, and fees according to the United States Postal Service and mailroom policies. I was responsible for the accurate entering and totaling of all money orders that were sent to the offenders while correcting any discrepancies. Working as a team, I assisted with the inspection of in-coming and out-going offender mail for possible contraband by using an x-ray machine and by physical observation. I was responsible for my own rejections of unauthorized offender mail according to mailroom policy and maintaining my own spreadsheet of mail rejections I have processed and also by filing alphabetical, numerical, date, and Department of Corrections offender number. I also was responsible for the verification of offender funds by using the TAS Program and verification of the purchaser of offender curio and religious items as an authorized immediate family member by using the InfoPort Manager program. I was also responsible for the verification of offender funds by using the TAS Program. Customer service with offender families via telephone, assisting them with offender mail questions while maintaining confidentiality in the disclosure of information, Mailroom policy and confidentiality. General filing by alphabet and/or numerical order.

FILING CLERK – RECORDS:

As a temporary/Intermittent file clerk, I was responsible for general filing duties and for assisting the records technicians with offender requested record reviews by preparing the offender files for review, which involved redacting confidential information. I was also responsible for assisting the offenders with their release paperwork and the processing the offender identification photos by taking their photo and laminating the photo onto the offender ID badge. After a short time, I was given the responsibility of my own supervision of scheduled offender record reviews.

SWITCHBOARD OPERATOR:

As a temporary/Intermittent switchboard operator, my main responsibility was to answer a multi-line phone system and to transfer the phone call to the appropriate employee. I was also responsible for customer service by answering caller questions, while maintaining confidentiality in the disclosure of information. I also assisted the Mailroom Sergeant with offender indigent postage paperwork and emergency hygiene paperwork by totaling amounts and filing by numerical order.

Safety Consultants - Faribault, MN 5/2002 - 7/2006

DATA ENTRY CLERK/SAFETY AUDITOR:

As a data entry clerk, my main responsibility was the auditing of semi-truck drivers' driving logs for various safety violations and customer service via telephone, email and walk in. I was also responsible for maintaining current driver/company qualification files preparing company and driver files for them to succeed at a satisfactory Department of Transportation audit. I was also responsible new hire training, which included assisting/consulting/training semi-truck drivers with their driving log books, and hazmat training. I was also responsible for fuel tax preparation for several transportation companies within the trucking industry, completion of monthly/quarterly fuel reports including International Fuel Tax (IFTA) to be filed and reported within several states.

As Agent to the Grand Fraternal Order of Eagles, which oversees all state Eagles clubs within the United States and abroad, I was responsible for investigating concerns, including financial discrepancies, that the Grand Fraternal Order of Eagles may have within an Eagles clubs within the State of Minnesota, including surrounding states.
