Founder, CEO and Medical Director, 21st Century Medical Scanning August 2001 – February 2003

This was a $3,000,000 enterprise I started just 6 weeks before 9-11-01. It was a Wellness Body/Heart Scanning business that was self-pay as most insurance companies won’t pay for Preventative Medicine. Over the course of 18 months, we did approximately 1300 scans and found 30-40 early stage cancers, 50-60 patients with coronary artery disease requiring Bypass surgery, and over 300 patients that needed angioplasty or stents for coronary artery blockages. All of these patients were diagnosed before any symptoms occurred. We gave many people ‘Peace of Mind’ when their scans were normal.

Raised $490,000 from family and friends and negotiated for the rest of the money. Put together the entire deal and had the center open within 7.5 months from conception. This included an over $300,000 build out of the center with installation of a $2.15 Million EBT (Electron Beam Tomography) unit which is a high contrast CT machine.
