Partners create production Support SIR (Service Investigation Request) and/or Project SIR (for new modules) in the Lotus Notes database.

Description: Agency Management System is a tool used to manage different Agencies, producers, brokers registered to sell the nationwide insurance products all over US. Using this application Nationwide associates can define various insurance products each agents can sell and calculate the amount of compensation needs to be given based on the policy premiums. It maintains various details about an agency like, License details, Tax info, agents working for the agency, billing details, payment methods, commission calculation, document management etc… It also generates various MIS reports.

Responsibilities:

Understanding the existing Product functionality

Migrated the application from PB7.0 to PB12.6.

Primarily working on the data virtualization of the Centralized Licensing & Appointment of agents, for consolidation of information across different subsidiaries of Nationwide Insurance for AMS side of changes.

Knowledge on Denodo platform( Leading Data Virtualization Platform)

Based on the errors reported by client, I had to analyze them, get an estimate done thereby reflecting the effort involved for the problem to be solved.

Description: Application Maintenance (online technical support & enhancements) of a business critical ship survey application for a U.K. based large Risk Management Company

The application is a stand alone application on surveyor’s laptops used to maintain and process information related to surveys carried out on board ships. The application incorporates complex logic involving special periodic and partial/continuous surveys which are billed dependent upon various factors. The system interfaces with several other systems/applications in different technologies using FTP, Remote Execution, XML data transfer, etc.

Description: Summit Initiate/Activate is a comprehensive and flexible package software suite that provides automated business processing services to organisations offering mortgage products. It provides end-to-end mortgage processing services for market leaders and is used in over 40% of UK building societies.

Summit Initiate/Activate has two modules Initiate and Activate. Activate module is the actual Mortgage application processing system which process different loans like House Purchase, Further Advance, Mortgage Variation, Re-Mortgage etc. and can make it live to the core system called Summit. Initiate module will help to get a loan proposal (Other wise called Keyfacts Illustration- KFI) faster. Later if the borrower wants to take the loan as per the proposal in KFI, the system provide options to convert this proposal to Activate and process further.

The Activate mortgage application business processes are automated largely by the use of predefined workflow tasks. System provides basic workflows needed for the application process by default. These workflows can be modified at the end user level based on the user rights. Also user can create there on workflow to work with application processing.

At the core of Summit Initiate/Activate is a mortgage processing system that supports the entire lifecycle of individual customer interaction with an organisation. Summit Initiate/Activate supports a full range of financial products, including flexible and offset mortgages and equity release/lifetime mortgages.

Based on the errors reported by client (in Sunrise tool), I had to analyse them, get an estimate done thereby reflecting the effort involved for the problem to be solved.

Interact with client to get a go-ahead for fixing of the problem

I was also responsible to update the Sunrise tool with all the above mentioned information.

Description: The Credit Appraisal and Management System, design as per format of Bank of India. The main function of the Banks Branches is to process the requests received from it’s borrowers, existing and new, for sanction of various kinds of facilities, which can be fund-based and non-fund based. The process is documented in what is called a proposal wherein various details regarding the client, his business/activity, his financial position (existing and estimated/ projected), branch opinion thereon, branch comments on various other related aspects are put in writing.

Responsibilities:

Had to undergo a detailed system study of the module to be worked on.

Understand the different report formats (Bank Terminology – Proposal) required by the bank

I had to study the complete Database Structure, so as to get the output (reports) with correct data and minimise the effort and increase the performance.

I was given the responsibility to make relevant changes at the database level (table) and procedural level changes to get an effective output.
