Turnaround Cost Analyst tasks and responsibilities (TA event budget over $46MM):

Report/analyze information produced by project controls systems against baselines in SAP and 3rd party reporting.

Support development of and update the cash flow (projected)

Track and submit accruals monthly on purchase orders and staged personnel. Expedite the closing of purchase orders with input from the SCM and project team throughout the project’s life cycle.

Support and participate in development of budgetary estimates, controls estimates, scopes of work and requisitions. Load and maintain current authorized budget into (SAP) based on approved project control plan and WBS.

Responsible for maintaining change order log in support of the change management process

Responsible for analysis of third party reporting and validating any variance to plan

Portfolio level Cost Analyst – this is a mid-management position with following responsibilities:

Prepare various monthly reports for the CPO (Capital Projects Organization) projects and programs portfolio, including VOWD (Value of Work Done), LE (Latest Estimate or Forecast) report, LRP (Long Range Plan) monthly report. Analyze Portfolio Forecast Variances and communicate findings to Projects Service Manager.

Running this project required strong understanding and knowledge of each and every project in the portfolio.

Capital Projects Organization Cost Analyst:

Work with Project Manager to develop, generate and track project funding notifications (AFEs)

Set up projects in Cost Control and Financial organization systems: develop and upload WBS including WBS dictionary; open project Work Orders (WO)and track project expenditure against WOs and monitor schedule activities for which the WOs are set up.

Review and develop estimate into project budget and establish Cost baseline for the projects

Elaborate materials estimates into projects budget setting up tracking spreadsheet by WBS, by commodities, by Material Requisitions, by Purchase Orders and develop and update forecast using P6 schedule

Prepare and analyze Project reports including but not limited by: Earned Value (EV) report, CPI and SPI, Forecasts, and Variance reports to identify and resolve issues

Track actual costs vs. planned. Calculate accruals and Forecast/Estimate at Completion (EAC)

Track contractual obligations and deliverables. Monitor outstanding Project commitments
