Designed Data Warehouse in SQL Server and Hadoop

• We designed and built a data warehouse, incorporating industry best practices, in SQL Server and Hadoop. We identified core business process, analytical theme of dataset, and performed data collection and analysis, creating implementation plan.

• Data Warehouse in SQL Server included Data mart design – creating dimensional model, perform ETL with Microsoft SSIS and load data into SQL Server, compress data and improve query performance by implementing column store indexes in SQL Server, optimize and tune query for efficient performance, design OLAP cube in SSAS for data visualization and reporting.

• Data Warehouse in Hadoop included performing ETL using Pentaho’s spoon to load data into Hadoop File System, implementing data warehouse in Hive, analyzing and generate reports for visual analysis using Tableau. DengAI: Predicting Disease Spread: DrivenData Competition

• Trained and tuned time series models such as Arima, seasonal Arima etc. to forecast number of dengue cases given the various environmental conditions.

Data Science Bowl 2017: Kaggle Competition

• Trained and tuned deep learning algorithms for determining when lesions in the lungs are cancerous based on thousands of high-resolution lung CT scans provided by the National Cancer Institute using H2O library in R Allstate Claims Severity: Kaggle Competition

• Trained and tuned deep learning algorithms like CNN (Convolutional Neural Networks) for predicting the cost and severity of more than hundred thousand insurance claims based on anonymous feature set using H2O library in R. Digit Recognizer: Kaggle Competition

• Successfully built an image classifier having an accuracy of 98.5% using Machine Learning techniques to determine the digit from an image of handwritten single digit.

• Anaconda Python environment was used to perform SVC (Support Vector Classification) and PCA (Principal Component Analysis).

Leaf Classification: Kaggle Competition

• Kaggle Rank: Top 15%

• Used binary leaf images and extracted features, including shape, margin & texture, to accurately identify 99 species of plants.

Titanic: Machine Learning from Disaster: Kaggle Competition

• Predicted the survival of passengers using various Machine Learning Algorithms such as Logistic Regression, Random Forest, SVM using R. Successfully achieved accuracy of 80% in predicting survival rate. Texas Public Health
