Work Experience:
CAD designer, Chas Roberts Inc, Phoenix, Arizona Aug 2016 – Present
Calculate heat/gain loads on structures, using Wrightsoft software for new HVAC system designs.
Perform complex design investigations, analysis, feasibility studies and CAD design for HVAC mechanical systems.
Draft mechanical design layouts for HVAC systems received from field supervisors, sales engineers, as well as draft revisions received from builders, architects and/or city personnel. Conference with clients and engineers as needed to discuss design problem areas and to ensure product meets all requirements.
Operations Technician, Blink CarCharging, Phoenix, Arizona Sep 2014 – Oct 2015
Perform operational tests to level two car charging stations, by simulating charging conditions.
Upgrade level two DC car chargers through data acquisition system and quality manufacturing.
Contributed in the creation of a production checklist, which helped production’s data acquisition and flow.
Production supervisor/R&D assistant, NOCO, Peoria, Arizona May 2009 – Sep 2014
Production line leader as well as assisting research and development department in testing, modifications and fabrication of new product. In charge of production schedules, failure analysis department, and shipping/receiving department.
Responsible of giving production reports to chief engineer, as well as sales managers. Assemble, troubleshoot, and modify more than ten different types of battery chargers.
Academic Projects:
Sustainable bicycle (capstone) Jan 2016 – Jul 2016
Perform hand calculations, CAD design, complex data design investigations and trade studies in order to optimize the process design and cost for a full scale cardboard bicycle capable of functioning carrying a maximum weight of 600 lbs. Implemented lean manufacturing, including 3D printing and laser cutting, during bicycle production execution.
Design and draft mechanical models in order to meet project’s requirements. Ability to implement analytical, mechanical and manufacture principals to develop a process system and interface requirements.
Ability to develop multiple prototype versions for the project and analyze performability by completing different quality tests. Identify and modify flaws on design and production process.
Prepare and present project report to faculty for validation of cost and design of the project.
