The Relicc Project is a Carefirst Corporate Initiative to implement a Maryland State Legislation to collect a member’s race, ethinicity and language data for reporting purposes to the Maryland Health Care Commission.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Consumer Direct Quote to Bill Platform is the suite of applications. The platform is designed to guide Prospects through online shopping, filling out an electronic insurance application or accepting a paper application. It automates underwriting, decisioning and application enrollment into facets.

In support of the Affordable Care Act (ACA), this project will enhance the CD Workflow platform component needed to achieve a corporate goal to determine the eligibility of new business Off Exchange applications while providing EAB, MU and customer Services with one system to support their respective business function.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Anuradha Chivukula’s Role is to Participate in Business meetings with end Users and gather Requirements specific to the New Requirements of ACA Products, and enrollment eligibility for new ACA applications. Break the requirements into high Level Use Cases and derive Atomic Use Cases form the High level Use Cases created. The Objective of this Project is to deploy enhancements needed to achieve aggressive sales goals and improve the member’s experience. The Consumer Direct ASU will reduce calls to customer service and increase use of technical self-service capabilities by enabling common member transactions to be completed via self-service.

The Subscriber can Submit the Change Request either Online or Paper Form. CD WorkFlow shall perform the validations and determine the Types of Change Requests. The Subscriber shall be intimated to submit an Application form, if the Change Request requires Medical Underwriting. Other wise the Request shall be routed to an Enrollment and Billing Technician to Enroll Manually in Facets.

For Requests received from Online, CD Work Flow shall determine the Form Number and integrate with File Net / HPX STEAM, an External System which Generates a PDF of the Online Form. File Net shall send a Document ID back to CD Work Flow, which shall be stored for Future references.

A Dental Application received in CD WorkFlow, will be validated as per the Business Rules defined, Registered in SMARTS (Sales and Marketing Activity Reports Tracking System) and sent for Light Underwriting. The Dental Applications shall be Auto Approved, and do not require Medical Under Writing.

They will be enrolled in Facets and a Successful or Failure Message shall be sent back to Pega.

POC Details:

Whenever any mishap happens, a claimant raises a claim to receive the insurance. The process deals with investigation whether the claim raised is a fraud and the further action taken when found to a fraud. If the claim is genuine, then it is routed to different managers based on the type of incident and then the proposal amount is sent to the claimant for negotiations. On approval from the claimant, the Final Settlement is done. On challenging, the claimant has to continue with Court proceedings and the final settlement is done later.

Responsibilities in the POC

Involved in the design of the application, where the PRPC guardials must be adhered to.

Developed the application using PRPC V(5.2). Sending external mail to the claimant using Directed WebAccess feature was implemented.

External authentication using LDAP was also implemented.

Reviewed the entire testing Process followed by other teams in the POC and ensured that the modifictions suggested were implemented

Done the performance testing for the application using Load Runner.

Project Details:

American International Group (AIG), world leaders in insurance and financial services, has their application OMEGA, built using PRPC. Also, the application has external configurations like LDAP and an interface BRICS which was developed by them. To overcome the performance issues with the product, to gain the benefit of PRPC 5.X version features and get rid of the lower versions the application is using, they decided to Upgrade the product in all the environments (Dev/QA/Staging/Model Office/Production) from 4.2 (SP4) to 5.1

(SP2). Remediation and bug fixing of the Rules after the upgrade also had to be done in all the environments.

Responsibilities in the Project

Responsible for the complete module “upgrade of the product from PRPC Version 4.2 (SP4) to Version 4.2 (SP6) and then migration to PRPC Version 5.1 (SP2)”.

Upgraded and migrated the product initially on a test environment where all the problems during upgrade were identified and correct measures taken so that process is completed and the deadlines are met.

Daily update to the client in person on the progress done.

Remediated and fixed the bugs in the application which occur after the upgrade and migration.

Contacted Pega Support by raising Service Requests (SR) for any internal code related bug fixes and also Hot Fixes if needed were requested, which were to be applied with immediate effect.

Upgraded the remaining environments (Dev/QA/Staging/Model Office/Production) and applied the remediation RuleSet Version created in all of them

Simultaneously worked with other team members for the redesign of the application for improving the performance of the product, where the new features of PRPC were implemented in the application.

The business rules, workflows, and portal integration framework will be built within PRPC. PRPC generates a WAR containing JSR-168 compliant portlet classes based on the portal rules. This war will manage the rudimentary communications between the portal and the PRPC server to acquire the fully constructed HTML stream from PRPC. This WAR must be deployed on the ESS portal server. PRPC will use the service listeners and working connectors to the MQ services to connect to ESS. The architecture will use the MQ, Relational DB, and SOAP connectors for the POC.

Responsibilities in the Project

Responsible for developing POC1, which provides the Banker with the ability to quickly view all available products classified as checking, short-term savings, long-term savings, short-term borrowing, and long term borrowing products that a customer can open using PRPC.
