Objective

To obtain a part-time position as a general dentist and/or manager where I may maximize my skills as an excellent general dentist

Summary of Qualifications

My qualifications include extensive experience in all phases of general dentistry for over thirty years. I am very experienced in diagnosis and providing treatment for the myriad of dentally related diseases and disorders as well as the diagnosis and treatment of craniofacial pain, temporomandibular disorders, headache pain and sleep disorders. I have also had extensive training in the prosthodontics management of complex restorative cases and additional training in oral surgery and pathology.

I have successfully managed a dental office since July 1978 with as many as sixteen employees, including multiple dental hygienists and associate dentists. I am very adept with computer skills.

Having finished all my graduation requirements a year early, I spent most of my last year in dental school doing additional oral surgery and prosthodontics. I was selected, by the prosthodontics faculty, as the outstanding student in prosthodontics. I was also selected as the outstanding student in oral pathology and in endodontics by the faculty members of those respective departments.

Professional Accomplishments

In addition to being in general practice for thirty years, I obtained my Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry in 1985 and was on the Ohio Board of Directors of the Academy of General Dentistry from 1984 to 1988.

Further, I served on the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Orofacial Pain from 1989 through 1991, on the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain from 1991 through 2002

and was President of the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain from 1998 through 2000.

I currently serve on the editorial boards of twelve professional journals and publications.

I have delivered numerous lectures and have given several courses on various dental subjects throughout the world. I was on the faculty of the College of Dentistry at The Ohio State University from 1979 through 1984, where I taught clinical endodontics, emergency dental treatment and a course on temporomandibular disorders. I also have lectured in the College of Dentistry and the College of Medicine, both at Ohio State, on the subjects of neuroanatomy and gross anatomy. Lastly, I have lectured in the College of Optometry on the subject of headache pain. I am currently a clinical instructor in the Institute of the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain.

I have written over 110 scientific articles, which have been published internationally in peer-reviewed journals. I current teach gross anatomy in the implant residency program at the University of Puerto Rico and teach gross anatomy courses for the American Academy of Craniofacial Institute.
