Machine Designer
Designed a new ten gallon compensator for liquid product that was CIP capable.
Sized a belt servo drive for a Keurig packaging machine to replace chain units.
Determined bearing loads and life cycles. Performed FEA analysis on several component parts and assemblies. Created timing diagrams, sequences of operations, created I/O requirements, created BOMs, and created drawings.
Designed new “bottom up” gas fill station for Gillette shaving cream, concept through drafting, including concept verification by testing. Station is now built and running product.

Machine Designer
Redesigned a Spinwelder with a 2kW Servo Drive. Worked with current Controls Vendor on electrical layout and to program startup of the machine. Created the manual and all documentation.
R&D on new plastic welder concept design. Testing, sourcing components. Chose some vendors and created BOM’s.
Created schematic and updated Allen-Bradley Program on a new slitter machine design and commissioned the machine.
