Database.

Notable Accomplishments:

GE Aviation, New Hampshire Ball Bearings as CNC Programmer (2010 -

2013)

NC/CNC Programming machines using Unigraphics NX6-8, MasterCam,

SolidWorks on short term contracts.

Johnson & Johnson. Sr. CNC Programmer, Tool Designer, Mfg Engineer

(2009 - 2010)

Implement the first patient specific components for DePuy (Johnson and

Johnson). The plastic saw guide to knee replacement was taken from MRI

to operation in less than six weeks due to the automation of UG and

Vericut and MSWord. Built macros in software to lower the level of CNC

programmers' level of experience needed. Added Vericut to prove program

to part model showed proof of quality.

Chromalloy Gas Turbine Corp. Sr. CNC Programmer, Tool Designer, Mfg

Engineer (2005 - 2008)

Engineered the manufacturing of 747 (JT9D) Stators, shroud sets, PW4000

ring segments, and blades / vanes. By applying Kaizen, Lean, 6-Sigma,

new tool designs & CNC programs I increased throughput from 8 to 30

shroud sets per week. One set sold for approximately $30,000 thus

gaining $690,000.00 per week more revenue for over a year of production.

The 34 million/yr was the largest increase I've ever accomplished. Also

bought 2 Okuma mill/turns to implement complete fabrication of turbine

disks for Solar.

Linvatec, Knights Armament, Contract / Consultant (2003 - 2005)

Kaizen events for Linvatec Surgical Instruments. Manufacturing Engineer

Manager at Knights Armament.

Advanced Ordnance, Inc., Daytona Beach, FL (Armament) Contract Senior

Engineer (2002 - 2003)

Reprocess M16 rifle & 22mm gattling gun parts to optimize through-put and

lower reject rate.

Flight Support, Inc., North Haven, CT (Turbine Engine Vanes) CNC

Programmer / Consultant (2002)

Program, tool and design custom 5-axis CNC laser welding machine to

refurbish aircraft engine blades by welding powder metal to trailing edge

and then grinding it back off.

Murzan, Inc. Norcross, GA (Food Processing) Manufacturing Engineering

Mgr. (1997 - 2001)

Managed two shifts of manufacturing (CNC lathes, 6-axis CNC mills, 4-axis

EDM) Tool Design, Quality Control, cutting tools, NC/CNC programming,

machine tool acquisition, and process improvements. Throughput capacity

increased by 40% while manufacturing costs decreased by 20%. Improved

quality on parts made of exotic materials such as Teflon, Roulon-J,

plastics, and various stainless steel alloys. Designed new methods to

hold tolerances .0001. Purchased and tooled up CNC Wire EDM & VMC, to

increased their prototype capabilities and production throughput, thus

reducing labor by 5 positions.

Kohler Company, Kohler, WI (Plumbing) Contract Tool Design Engineer &

CNC Programmer (1996)

Fixture design, parts processing, & CNC programming to reduce engineering

time.

Oshkosh Trucks, Oshkosh, WI (Emergency Vehicles) Contract ISO Consultant

& CNC Programmer (1995)

Re-established NC programs and corresponding paperwork per ISO 9001

Standards for upcoming audit.

Komatsu Dresser, Peoria, IL (Mining Vehicles) Contract Sr. Mfg Engineer

/ Parts Process Engineer (1994)

Processed parts flow for two CNC cellular machining work cells. Each

cell had one CNC 4-axis pallet VMC, two CNC VTLs, one 10-axis CNC VTL /

Mill, & shared two gear shapers, and one gear hob. Process engineering:

part routing, cutting tool determination, balanced throughput cycle

times, and design work holding methods. Served as liaison between the

Metallurgy Department and Manufacturing Engineering to lessen cellular

interruptions normally due to mid-process heat treatment needs. We were

able to lower the number of parts that needed to be taken out of their

cells for heat treatment between machining operations from 31 to 3.

Created a Manufacturing Feasibility Study, introduced new heat treatment

processes, and collaborated with Design Engineering to re-engineer part

designs for lean manufacturing.

Gambler Competition, Nashville, TN (Sprint Cars) CNC Programmer/

Process Engineer (1993 - 1994)

Economated Machine, Los Angeles, CA (Computer Housings) Consultant

(1991 - 1992)

Set up CNC Manufacturing Engineering Department, including procedures and

methods for ISO9000. Also set up DNC system for CADCAM software to

interface with machine controllers (Post-Processor editing).

McDonnell Douglas, Torrance, CA (Aircraft Structures) NC

Programmer/Project Team Leader (1986 - 1990)

CADCAM modeling, NC programming, and processing (complex lofted surface)

5-axis machined parts. Redesigned fixtures to eliminate excess

operations and directed Process Engineers to optimize manufacturing

capacity and reduce costs. Average manufacturing cost reductions of

$80,000.00 per part. Helped train NC programmers as we grew from 60 to

200+ CNC programmers. Functioned as the liaison between CNC programming

engineers and IBM software engineers, developing the CADD system, and

Unigraphics, Beta tested UG, Vericut, and NCL systems. Team leader for

the Navy's T-45 Aircraft. Managed a team of 8 CNC programmers to get the

first aircraft ready for rollout within 1.5 years after I took over the

project.

Education

Associates Degree in Numerical Control Engineering at Rancho Santiago

College, Santa Ana, CA 1986. GD&T, ISO, APT-370, Surface Design, Ethical

Decision Making at McDonnell Douglas Corp. 1986 - 1990.
