Oct 2005-March2009:

As Sr.VicePresident (Operations) with M/s Star Wire (India) Ltd Delhi,

responsible for production, quality & maintenance of Rs 300 crore specialty

alloy steel plant having steel melting,rolling,forging &foundry castings,

with a work force of 2000 and catering to Domestic as well as International

markets.

May2004-Sept 05:

On a job rotation basis as a Vice President (Group HRD) in charge of

overall human resource management of Indian Seamless Metal Tube (ISMT)

Pune, having management staff of 300 & group turnover of Rs 1500 crores,

reporting to group Executive Chairman.

April2002-April2004:

As chief of operations in charge of Steel Melting Shop &Rolling Mill in

Indian Seamless Steel & Alloys Pune, a group company of ISMT with

manufacturing facilities like 50MT EAF/LRF/VD& CCM OF 12/18M Radius and

continuous mill of 16 strands.

NOV1973-MARCH2002:

- Joined M/S Mahindra Ugine Steel Co Ltd in 1973 as Trainee Engineer after

post graduating from IIT Bombay.

- Initial training in all production shops like SMS, BM/Rolling Mill, Forge

Shop & other production facilities.

- Hands on experience in Steel Melting shop operations for initial 5/7

years experience.

- Worked in various capacities in Steel Melt Shop before taking charge as

Vice President (operations) as overall in charge of EAF/LRF/VD-VOD/CCM

shops from 1997 to 2001.

- As Sr. Vice President (Technology) was responsible for development of

steel making &processing technologies & plant wide cost effective

solutions. (2001-2002) till my stay with MUSCO Steel.

. Training at Ugine Aciers & FOS Sur Mer plants in France, for 6 months

in1978 on 50&100 Mt EAF, 50MtAOD &R-H Degassing.

. Training on secondary Metallurgy on 50MT LRF& VD/VOD installations at

Lebyold Hereaus in Germany in 1991& steel plant training at Dresden

for 2-months.

. Management training programme at CO-STEEL Sheerness Kent UK Twice in

1996 &1998.

. Visit to a Ukrainian Steel plant as a delegate to study steel making

technology &cost effective practices in 1997.

. Visit to Sidenor Basuri & Rhenesio Bilbo in SPAIN as a member of

technical team for joint venture feasibility study.

. Visit to SKF engineering research centre in Netherlands & France in

connection with global approval for bearing steel supplies.

. Visit to Sandvik Sweden in 2010 for specialty steel export to Sandvik

group companies
