As a pilot car driver I was responsible for rear coverage of oversized loads on all highways, streets, Blvd’s, state

routes etc., throughout Va. and in all other states.

The pay is salary. The work is 24/7 with little to no time off at home. Extremely independent work scenerio

I kept records of Gas cards, Hotel cards, Hotel receipts, Per diem cards, Mileage on the vehicle, Pick up and drop

sites for all loads.

I provided emergency traffic assistance as well as directing traffic when the situation required me to do so. I

worked very closely with the local city and state police as well as local utility companies when permits required

their assistance.

I have a TWIC card, and a Va Port Police ID which allows me access on and off all VA marine ports and terminals.

I have an active VA Escort/Pilot car license.

Communication skills are a priority, as you are in constant communications with all other drivers on that load with

a CB while that load is in motion. I had zero incidents or accidents in any state while working for this company.

While at the main office, I often had to use my work vehicle for parts deliveries and pickups.
