in the Capitol Hill Anthrax Emergency Response Project in 2001 as Lead

Project Health and Safety Officer and Senior Technical Advisor to over 50

personnel, requiring 23,500 hours of work, without logging a single OSHA

recordable incident and garnering a National Engineering Excellence Award

by the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC)

. Developed and implemented a risk management and Health and Safety

oversight program of construction and remedial action contractors in

support of the Libby Montana Asbestos Emergency Response Project, logging

over 500,000 total hours worked without a single OSHA recordable or lost

time injury. Recognized by OSHA's VPP and recommended for Star status

. Developed and rolled out a national, highly visible, branded program to

strengthen the safety culture across a national enterprise, the safety

concept promoted thinking about potential hazards and controls before

beginning a task

. Designed and activated cost-effective, online health and safety training

centers for three employers, providing over 300 courses in real time,

efforts in Louisiana and Mississippi after Katrina

decontamination prior to decommissioning; project completed ahead of

schedule and 25% under budget, at the Department of Energy's Paducah,

Kentucky Gaseous Diffusion Plant

. Health and Safety Manager of site investigation work at Massachusetts

Military Reservation, to assure safe monitoring of well installation,

groundwater sampling and related actions

. Implemented an emergency response and preparedness plan to address toxic,

explosive, and physical hazards for remedial action at Fort Drum, New

integration of over 300 web-based EHS courses into the Learning

subcontracts for asbestos abatement, radioactive decontamination, and

. Directed dechlorination procedures for over 40,000 tons of PCB-

contaminated asphalt and debris at Wide Beach, New York, which included

excavation and transport for detoxification, a $27M project subcontracted

to 70% union and non-union contractors. Also served as Community

Relations Officer with residents of this beachfront community

. Managed the successful removal of seven underground fuel storage tanks at

five different sites at the Lewiston, NY, storage facility

. Managed two Oak Ridge, Tennessee contracts involving classification,

segregation, packaging, transportation, and off-site disposal of

chemicals associated with numerous shuttered analytical laboratories

located at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory complex

. Site Safety Officer for the characterization, repacking, transportation

and disposal of more than 5,000 drums of hazardous waste at an abandoned

warehouse in Puerto Rico

. Project Manager for the engineered dismantlement of a mercury-

contaminated, chlorine manufacturing facility at a paper manufacturing

superfund project administered by the US Army Corps of Engineers

. As Radiation Safety Officer at GE's multi-facility site in Schenectady,

New York, ensured compliance with all provisions of GE's radioactive
