Job Description:

Estimated Petro-Chemical construction projects ranging in size from

$1,000.00 to multi million dollar jobs for a multitude of project

engineers working for one of the largest petro-chemical holding

facility company in the world Vopak Terminals Inc. At the following

Terminals: Vopak Deer Park Terminal Inc. & Vopak Galena Park

Terminal Inc.

As lead estimator I was required to attend formal competitive bid

meetings at terminals referenced above. Bidding against 1 to 7 other

reputable petro-chemical construction companies with a success rate

in excess of 75% of contracts being awarded. Also catering to the

Vopak engineering staff on daily quotes as well as giving a multitude

of budgetary estimates and doing the same for the maintenance

department.

Most of these projects required a turn key general contractor in

which: purchasing of specialty equipment, handling a multitude of

sub-contractors & even commandeering engineering firms & working

one on one to design specialty product delivery systems for the Vopak

engineering staff.

I also served as the project manager for any projects in excess of

$50,000 & above which consisted of the following: (preparing along

with bid packages) complete project schedule, execution plan, sub-

contractor list, & on turn key projects most of the time write the

entire scope of work. Also as project manager once the project

immobilized I had to give an updated job timeline with a 2 week look

ahead projection & a up to date Microsoft Project Ghant chart for a

per project once weekly meeting. At these weekly project meetings

(held for the duration of the project) I would present to the

engineering staff & all who were involved in any area of the project.

Successfully obtaining Maintenance Contracts at both facilities for

2009-2011. Under an open Maintenance P.O.# T&M basis; which I was

responsible for keeping up with job by job time sheets as back up for

billing on a monthly basis.
