I inspected roadway, highway, and bridge construction work for NTTA, TxDot and several municipalities. Representative projects include:

• Simmons Road Reconstruction, Double Oak, Texas – Chief Construction Inspector for the Simmons Road Reconstruction project. The Simmons Road project limits are from Kings Road to FM 407. The existing roadway was upgraded from a 2-lane asphalt roadway to a 2-lane concrete roadway with drainage improvements. Halff provided Professional Services for Surveying, Drainage Study, Schematic Design, Preliminary Design, Final Design, Right-of-Way Acquisition, Coordination, Bidding, and Construction Management. • 2011 Roadway Capital Improvement Program, Copper Canyon, Texas – Chief Construction Inspector for the 2011 Roadway Capital Improvement Program. The roadway improvements include 9 roadways out of 34 roadways in Copper Canyon that are planned to be improved in the next 5 to 10 years. The roadways were either reconstructed or overlaid in asphalt pavement. The design tasks included traffic control, paving, grading, drainage, and erosion control. A drainage study was prepared to study the impact of improving the culvert under Oakridge Trail. Prepared plans, specifications, and contract documents for the 2011 Roadway Capital Improvement Program. (11/2011 est)

• Mobile Drive, Copper Canyon, Texas – Chief Construction Inspector for the Mobile Drive Reconstruction Project. The roadway improvements included reconstructing the roadway out of asphalt pavement. The design tasks included traffic control, paving, grading, drainage, erosion control, and right-of-way acquisition. Prepared plans, specifications, right-of-way documents, and contract documents for Mobile Drive (11/2011 est)

• Orchid Hill Lane Reconstruction, Copper Canyon, Texas – Chief Construction Inspector for the Orchid Hill Lane Reconstruction Project. The Orchid hill Lane project limits are from Copper Canyon Road to FM 2499 for a length of approximately 9,500 lf. The existing roadway will be upgraded from a 2-lane asphalt roadway to a 2-lane concrete roadway with drainage improvements. Halff provided Professional Services for Surveying, Schematic Design, Preliminary Design, Final Design, Right-of-Way Acquisition, Coordination, Bidding, and Construction Management. (10/2011 est.)

• Chinn Chapel Road Reconstruction, Copper Canyon, Texas – Chief Construction Inspector for the Chinn Chapel Road Reconstruction project. The Chinn Chapel Road Project limits are from approximately one-half mile north of FM 407 to Orchid Hill Lane for a distance of approximately 11,600 lf. The existing roadway will be upgraded from a 2-lane asphalt roadway to a 2-lane concrete roadway with drainage improvements. Halff provided Professional Services for Surveying, Schematic Design, Preliminary Design, Final Design, Right-of-Way Acquisition, Coordination, Bidding, and Construction Management. (10/2011 est)

The roadway improvements include 8 roadways out of 34 roadways in Copper Canyon that are planned to be improved in the next 5 to 10 years. The design tasks included traffic control, paving, grading, drainage, erosion control, and right-of-way acquisition. Prepared plans, specifications, and contract documents for the 2010 Roadway Capital Improvement Program. (06/2011)

• Sam Rayburn Tollway Segment 4 – Mr. Reed is served as a Structural Inspector for a $219 million interchange at SH 121 and US 75. Mr. Reed duties included the following: Senior inspector over structures and bridges. He assisted the Resident Engineer, Project Coordinator, Chief Inspector and Contractor with problem research and resolution. He assisted the chief inspector with the development of monthly estimates and documenting control of the records using the Proliance and Capitalsoft software systems. Additionally, Mr. Reed assisted in training junior inspectors.

• Dallas North Tollway- Oak Lawn Improvements – Mr. Reed successfully completed a $34 million upgrade to a southern section of the Dallas North Tollway at the Wycliff and Oak Lawn interchanges. Mr. Reed was responsible for inspections of utilities, paving, retaining walls, bridges, and electronic tolling systems. He also assisted in the final records closeout documentation.
