Thirty-two years of experience and success in the combined

fields of Advertising Illustration, Book Illustration, Fine Art

and Public Speaking. I love the creative process, learning,

solving problems, and sharing my knowledge with others.

My interests also include: family, friends, the outdoors,

and discovering the way things work. I am committed to

the pursuit excellence. Winslow Homer s career and work

has influenced my artistic path more than any other artist.

Statement

My paintings are evidence of my search for designs, subject matter, and techniques, that when combined,

form a captivating piece of fine art. Exploring deviations from the traditional approach to painting is

important to me, so a separate series of paintings melding alla prima paintings with the square began in

December of 2007. Each new canvas brings me to the exact place that every painter throughout history

has been. It is blank, white, and two-dimensional. It contains the promise of a new learning experience,

and an opportunity to complete a piece of art that viewers will be drawn to forever.

Public speaking / teaching

2002-present Your Life Is About Learning, a motivational enrichment program with art as the communication vehicle.

It was designed with over 275 images along with a digital and traditional demonstration and has been very well

received by students from elementary to high school as well as adult groups. Lessons on value, color, vision,

observation, imagination, and personal development are among the topics covered.
