Familiar with a variety of mechanical procedures and processes. Fluent using numerous telecom equipment such as Fujikura fiber fusion splicer, OTDR, Anritsu site master - BTS master, JDSU Drive test software, ZK SAM test gear and T1 test sets as well as all basic hand and power tools.

Professional Experience:

Northeastern Pennsylvania Telephone Company 1989-Present

Cellular Field Technician: 2010 - 2013

Manage daily - Nortel GSM equipment, including all Cell Tower Base Stations, OMCR, BSC, TCU, PCUSN, T1 Fiber backbone and RF Microwave data links. Troubleshoot all network alarms. Maintain connectivity and Network integrity. Supervised network frequency retunes to ensure all antennas and network equipment successfully downloaded new settings. Manage subcontracted workers to ensure all jobs were completed to manufacturer installation specifications. Drive test network quarterly to compare real time RF saturation to Engineering RF Saturation predictions. Annually perform network sweep testing on all RF cable transmission lines. Troubleshoot RF Radio equipment. Provision Nortel and Ericsson switch to edit, add and delete customer user options. Assist CSR's in troubleshooting customer complaints. Provide product and support to all network vendors. Train and support sales department on new technologies and other customer related services. Maintain all HVAC units associated with all wireless equipment. Maintain all wireless inventories both at site and in warehouse. Responsible for shipping and receiving of all wireless components.

Central office technician: 2006-2010

Complete daily provisioning of Nortel DMS 10 Switch to fulfill LAN Line service order requirements. Wire telephony main frame to connect associated phone and data lines. Install, troubleshoot and maintain all associated telephone network/switching equipment. Install data circuits to provide services for lottery, credit card/ATM, DSL, ADTRAN, and other enterprise services. Install and maintain FAA radar and repeater circuits.

Provision switching equipment for VDSL/ADSL television and internet services. Connect remote facilities to existing telecom infrastructure. Maintain all backup power generation equipment. Implement T1 Fiber backbone to all wireless communication sites. Install DSL services to residential and commercial customers. Provision Cisco OC 192 ring circuitry. Maintain interconnections and trunk lines from surrounding companies. Convert telephony interface to GR303. Refurbish outdated network enclosures to fit updated technologies.

Outside Plant Cable and Fiber-Optic Splicer: 1994 - 2006

Responsible for all fiber optic infrastructure across entire company territory. Maintain fiber network to ensure no loss of light. Test all new fiber facility after splicing to maintain a 0.20Db tolerance. Perform preventative maintenance on fiber optic equipment. Connectorize fiber optic cable to integrate with office equipment patch panels.

Test copper facilities to ensure clean transmission of voice and data communications. Troubleshoot grounded, shorted and open cables using a variety of instruments such as 3M dynatel and Analog meters.

Outside Plant Construction: 1988 - 1994

Set and install outside plant facility. Build cable lines including pole placement through locations both rural and urban. Maintain line integrity by removing downed trees, broken poles and ice damage. Familiar with rigging equipment and all hand tools.
