RETAIL FINANCE MANAGER 2009 to 2012

Promoted in 2009 to manage the financials for the retail line of business with 700+ branches, 5,000 headcount, and a $28 billion deposit base. Managed and developed a staff of three. Provided strategic financial guidance and advice to the Executive Vice President of Retail Sales and Services. Functioned as a liaison interfacing with all levels of management and multiple departments such as distribution, product, marketing and facilities.

*Developed a production based financial model for a new in store branch channel creating an 18 month breakeven. This model is currently being rolled out to over 100 branches.

*Managed an annual process to set production goals, operating inome targets and branch balance sheet objectives for the branch network using market intelligence and historical trends as a basis.

*Monitored and worked closely with the branch facilities team on all capital expenditures which included a $70 million branch refresh across the entire network.

*Coordinated with distribution all network changes including all new branches. Prepared and exceeded financial expectations on consolidation activities (including 10 recently in early 2011).

*Created a branch staffing model to maximize both sales activities and teller efficiencies across the entire branch network resulting in improved sales and improvements in teller efficiencies of 20%. Annualized expense savings totaled over

$6 million.

*Implemented a monthly financial clinic to drive improved understanding of the financial statements for all branch job families. Instructed District Managers and Branch Managers on how to drive profitability resulting in improved financial results. Conducted individual branch training for all branch personnel as requested.

*Participated in the month end closing process and consistently forecasted a monthly direct expense base of $75.0 million within 1%.

REGIONAL FINANCE MANAGER 2001 to 2009 Responsible for budgeting and forecasting the income statement and balance sheet, identification of risk and opportunities, and developing standardized reporting for the Columbus based region. Worked daily with all lines of business including Commercial, Business Banking, and Retail. Provided strategic recommendations to the Regional President and leadership team to exploit strengths, overcome weaknesses, and improve performance.
