Customer Service Assistant Manager

I was most recently the Customer Service Assistant Manager for Altus Athletic. I have worked my way up thru the company starting in accounting. I have 3 employees that I manage. I am the direct contact and have a very good working relationship with the Buyers for Altuss top accounts and with our outside Sales Reps. I work closely with Sales regarding customers pricing, vendor agreements, product questions, new account and customer set-up and any other issue that may arise. I am responsible for monitoring, analyzing and reporting stats and business sales for all of our top accounts. I handle any customer issues from questions about our goods from pricing to disgruntled individuals that may have a problem with an item. I handle return authorizations, price quotes, logo orders and I monitor and fill all of our backorders. I take customer calls regarding pricing, item availability, item set up, new customer accounts, orders and various questions regarding our products. I also cover our switchboard in the absence of my receptionist. I monitor our large accounts and all of their orders and shipments. I work very closely with our outside sales reps and our customers. I have numerous reports that I keep daily and weekly to include order sheets, backorders, open orders, lost sales, daily stats and I have numerous analytical report that I keep on a customer to customer basis. I am very detail oriented and can perform numerous tasks at one time.

Previously I was our Wal-Mart Coordinator. I monitored all of our small exercise equipment products that were sold in Wal-Mart Stores around the US. I analyzed our in-stocks, store make up and all of the aspects of our sales to Wal-Mart. I analyzed store by store (over 3000 stores) and make recommendations for orders both import and domestic. I broke down stores one by one to determine areas of concern and make conclusions as to why a certain product is selling or not selling. I ran numerous weekly reports as well as monthly reports for review. It is my responsibility to ensure that every one of our products maintains at least a 98 percent in-stock rate in all stores.

I began with the company in Accounts Receivable. I also did Invoicing, Accounts Payable and some work with general ledgers. I monitored and posted all payments that were received on a daily basis and monitored any deductions that may have been taken to determine if they were valid. I kept track weekly and monthly of all of our accounts that were 30, 60 and 90 days due on their payments. I made collection calls and did research to determine why a payment may be late and to find out when it will be paid. I created all credit memos and did the research and obtained the necessary backup documentation to prove the credit was warranted. I monitored all of our customers Coop, Volume and Advertising discounts that they acquired through out the year and did comparisons and made adjustments to what they deducted at the end of each year. I created miscellaneous invoices and provided them to the customer whenever they were needed. I kept track of all Vendor Agreements to ensure that the customers were paying within their terms agreement and if not took the necessary steps to correct any issues. I love working in accounting but took new opportunities to grow and expand my knowledge base as they presented themselves.

Medical Claims Billing Clerk

I reviewed, completed and billed medical claims to Medicare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Medicaid and various other insurance companies for durable medical equipment. I would prepare the claim and any necessary documentation that was required. It was my responsibility to ensure that the individual receiving the equipment qualified to have it by the terms of their insurance policy and medical necessity guidelines. I prepared letters of medical necessity as necessary and as required by Medicare and other insurance companies.
