SKILLS:
In my role as an independent programmer/consultant for companies I was often the computer guy for companies that had no full-time IT staff. I did whatever was necessary to keep the hardware and network operable and was on-call 24/7 for many years. For companies that had IT personnel, I functioned as primarily as the programmer for the accounting system. I have overseen networks with several servers and dozens of terminals. My strengths were my skills with hardware and networks, my understanding of accounting systems and my ability to produce any modifications that my clients needed to their accounting software in a timely and cost-effective manner. This combination was something of a unique skill set.
